Septal Myectomy

I am wondering if I am a candidate for a septal myectomy. I have apical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, myocardial bridging, NSVT, brachycardia, Mitral valve prolapse, among others. I am currently on numerous medications. I am a 75 yr. old male whose wife recently and suddenly passed away. I am a little afraid of having a heart issue being alone. Would a septal myectomy improve my heart conditions and ease my anxiety.

Sorry to hear about your wife. Im no expert, but I did see here (somewhere) that an 80 year old had a septal myectomy. Keep reading in the hypertrophic cardiomyopathy threads, you may find it.

I have the apical obstructive cardiomyopathy also. Lots of anxiety, I agree.
