COVID vaccines and neuropathy

I recently, fully recovered from what was diagnosed as vaccine-induced neuropathy. I’m truly grateful to have come through it without permanent damage. I received Evusheld (monoclonal antibodies) in September and was due to receive a second dose in March. Evusheld is generally used for immunocompromised patients, but my situation qualified. I just received notice from the Cleveland Clinic last week that they are discontinuing Evusheld because it is ineffective against the current variants. That was my safe protection option, as I’m sure it was for many patients. Does anyone know whether there are any new monoclonal antibody treatments that do address the new variants? Anything in the pipeline? I would hate to think that there is nothing to replace the safe option for the large group of vulnerable, immunocompromised people. I’m not immunocompromised, but fortunately, I had Evusheld as an option. I have not been able to find anything encouraging in my research for new developments. Surely, someone must be working on an updated treatment. That’s the case with the vaccines. Has anyone heard of anything to replace the original Evusheld? My situation aside, the immunocompromised population should not be ignored. They are some of the most vulnerable of us.

I don't know anything about another Evusheld and I'm so sorry about your awful vaccine experience. I don't know if you want to try a different kind of vaccine but it so, you might want to ask your doc about Novavax. I didn't have any problem with it.

Can you tell us what vaccine you received?

Hi. I have symptoms of numbness, loss of sensation, and tingling on the left side of my body since August 10th.
Two Moderna shots and a full Moderna booster and a half Moderna booster. Had Covid at the beginning of August and took Paxlovid. After the five days of Paxlovid I was taking off my face mask and my left earlobe felt "novocained" followed by numbness on my face.
It's spreading to my right arm, hand fingers.
My nerve conduction test was negative (good news right?) but OK so what is causing this tightness in my arms and heaviness in my left back thigh and buttock?
Also have had a bad side effect of Macrobid a few years ago that left toes feeling puffy and the balls of my feet.
Pulmonary sarcoidosis, MAC, might be contributing? That's why I mentioned the Macrobid also.
Another strange thing that happened right before the Paxlovid but right when I started feeling ill from Covid was that I felt a scratchy feeling inside my left inner wrist/arm where I wore my Apple Watch. Happened two days in a row and I stopped wearing it.

All the above that you mentioned also happened to me after second vaccine. My neurologist has confirmed that the vaccine causes the nervous system to go into overdrive for some people. For me, it will be 2 years in April. Some days hardly noticeable. Other days, symptoms return. Sorry you are going through the same! Alpha lipoic acid R has helped.

I’m sorry to hear about your outcome, but glad that you had a doctor who acknowledged the link between neuropathy and the vaccine. What are you doing to protect yourself against Covid now? Are you planning on taking any more vaccines? How do you weigh the chances of the neuropathy worsening with either option - further vaccines or Covid infection? My doctors are split on which puts me more at risk. If I do decide to get more vaccine, they recommend a pediatric dose of a different mRNA vaccine. I would appreciate your input.
