Digestion complications after COVID

Posted by billie6977 @billie6977, Dec 28, 2022

I had covid in May it was pretty bad, but was able to isolate. I have had symptoms come back and some days I have been fine, but for the past month I have experiences with Severe Constipation, being Shaky, dizziness, migraine headaches, loss of appetite and vomiting, but no fevers. I have been so distorted I can't go in to work or drive. I can't even clean my home without feeling as though I am going to faint. I have tried using laxatives, but they don't work. I am now dealing with fecal impactions

My doc suggested using Miralax or a generic for fecal impactions.

Our doc says 2tsp benefiber
every single day, not just when you're constipated.
In addition I have added Phillips Colon Health Probiotic, 1 capsule a day every day.
I use the store brand, same formula.
I switch between watery & constipation......but these products seem to help find a balance

Oh dear...that's horrible.

There are times I can feel pretty nauseous....why I do not know....at least not yet. At times I feel close to being able to vomit.

I have a colonoscopy and endoscopy next week so we will see if there is any new discoveries.

I had Covid from
December 2 til December 20, mostly bad coughing and fatigue, no nausea or vomiting during Covid.

Now, I’ve noticed that I’ll feel a little dizzy, now and then. Then, this week out of the blue I got violently nauseous and vomited repeatedly. It ended after about three hours. No fever or other symptoms that would indicate flu.

I’m taking anti/nausea medication because I still feel dizzy now and then.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Poor you. I can sympathise as I have had something similar. Had covid twice. Both times have digestive problems. Bloating till I can’t breathe. Dizziness and headaches even panic attack symptoms. It’s so debilitating. Good luck dizziness

I Just came from the ER. When I tell you it was the worst experience I have ever had. Nobody listens to me when I try to explain what was going on. They didn't do full exams and gave me no answers but I have 3 mass. One in my breast, one in my rectum and one in my colon. Gave meds I already told them I can't take because I just throw it up. I guess tomorrow is another day can only hope for the best. I am down now 44 lbs in 35 days. Never did they check my heart look at my ears or anything else doing with Long Covid. Only looked for an opening or LEAK. No help, just a waste of most likely about $10k.

I’m sorry you are going through that.

Things are really bad when it comes to quality care now a days. Not being able to get answers or any type of aid hurts to the core. I am a childless person and because of that alone I get denied state medical insurance and assistance. Things need to change and there needs to be real relief for those who really are in crisis.
