Thyroid? Or something else? Constant internal shakiness
Going on 2months now everyday non stop. Sometimes mild and im able to ignore it but over the hours of day it becomes more severe and causing my heart rate to go up and my blood pressure to go very high (170/99) its episodic. Ive been to hospital for it 3 times for it and received no treatment as my vitals slowly return to normal. Xanex helps me feel calm but does not help the shakiness just helps me not get upset about it. Am only 28 years old and hypothyroid. I have never had symptoms like this in my entire life just started out of nowhere. Iam in good sTate of mind and aware of what's happening when the episodes happen. So far my doctors are clueless.

Same have not found answer been to many doctors
I did speak with him last year - and he told me not to worry about it. My wellness check is in January, so I will discuss with him.
Thank you so much for responding.
Jackie
Thank you for your response - I did post my answer to your question.I will tell him again when I see in for my January wellness check.I did tell him last year, after being on the amnitryptiline for 3 months, and he said it wasn't anything to worry about.
I'm going to see a back doctor after having an MRI a few weeks agoto make sure that it isn't a nerve issue with my spine. My vibrationsare mostly waist down.
Thank you again.

Instead of a tranquilizer type med, how about a 24/7 med like Effexor, for Generalized Anxiety Disorder. It has a great track record and been around for decades. I’ve been on it for 35 years and it is a God send for GAD which runs in my family. Which is thought now to be a precursor for Parkinsons, which is also in my family. My adult kids are both on Effexor as well . They have had panic attacks as have I and as did my mom. This is a Genetic disorder not given enough press, and the best med for it is Effexor. I take two 75 time released a day with a AS Needed extra on the script for really stressful times.
All those drugs are not good to take them long time, my brother in law is very sick and in bed from it, destroyed his mind. Although not everybody responds the same
I have recently discovered that the cause of my Hashimotos (auto immunce thyroiditis) was an over abundance of iodine. (Primarily ingested from iodized table salt). After more than 30 years of constant blood tests, doubting doctors / endocrinologists / constantly changing and adjusting thyroid medications....it was unbelievably that simple. I followed the low iodine diet recommended by American Thyroid Association, and within 30 days, I now longer need prescription medication (found a Dr. who helped monitor progress / WOULD LISTEN). In January 2023, it will have been 3 years since I took the last prescription thyroid medication (which was increasing the "internal earthquakes" / dizzyness / dry mouth / confusion, and on and on). I have never felt better! I did not expect to feel better following this low iodine diet in the beginning...but I was feeling so bad...how could it get any worse? And I got better, and better. Since I wrote this original reply, it was also discovered that I have the genetic MTHFR polymorphism (DNA test confirmed). That basically means I am among at least 25% of the population that does not eliminate toxins optimally. It explains everything after all these years! Why the dosage could not remain constant...I was getting overdosed with iodine from time to time - fluctuating iodine - which would raise TSH, lower T3, ramp up thyroid hormone destroying immune attack! I can't count how many Dr.s that adamantly expressed: "Once thyroid tissue has been destroyed / auto-immune has occurred, it can't be reversed." Some kind of cellular memory, or so they insisted. Well, I'm here, alive, kicking, and shouting - it ain't so. Apparently, some of us can and do heal - our body given (or in my case taken away) the nutrient balance that it needs. I do still take a minuscule amount of bovine thyroid glandular, about every 10 days or so. My thyroid is either still healing, or perhaps, it will never regain 100%. (I am now 65 years old). And then again, it could be because I do slip and eat an egg yolk, sea food, dairy (all high iodine) - no it's not slipping its indulging! (If I am being perfectly honest). A long, long story - all to say....try the low iodine diet found on the American Thyroid Association website. A 30 day experiment will tell the tale, and low iodine (do not read zero iodine, which is not possible nor desirable), for 30 days is not a show stopper for most people. (Check with your Dr. to be sure)
I would so like to hear any success stories!
I’m confused. You got symptoms from taking thyroid medication for hypothyroidism?
What medications and level? What other symptoms?
Recently had ER visit for what looked like hyperthyroidism when taking meds for hypo. Off medication for 5 weeks. TSH back to high. Restarting Levo.
What a mystery.
Same for me. Can’t seem to get the dosage adjusted. Too high a dose and I shake terribly. Lower dose causes bad labs. 🙄
Hiya. I know what you mean about internal shaking.
I get it when my nervous system gets overwhelmed. I think it means we are constantly living on the edge because we are not living the life that our belief system expects us to live. So we are constantly on alert and stressed and become used to being like that so we think we are normal.
Address adrenal fatigue, give yourself daily and monthly and yearly. Also periods of rest, meditation, silence daily plus do the things you love and delete the things you don’t like. Eat healthily and exercise is important - gentle exercise, nothing sweaty and stressful. I mean we may as well live our lives out as we wish, other wise why be here in this body, on Earth..? Take charge. I may be right, it’s worth a go. It worked for me. Best wishes.
Done that and more, does not work
