Anyone Found Help/Explanation for Long Covid Neurological Symptoms?

Posted by robinholly @robinholly, Feb 13, 2022

Has anyone found some help and explanation for their neurological symptoms? Symptoms like tremors, dizziness, difficulty walking, tingling in legs and back, muscles twitches in legs, hand tremors, cognitive dysfunction, ringing in ears, pain and burning in toes and feet. I have these symptoms and more. I have been through MRI of brain and full spine, peripheral nerve testing, muscle function and short fiber nerve tests all in the normal range despite the symptoms. I have been on 900mg gabapentin daily with little improvement, then things got much worse after getting the booster last month. Would love to hear from some that have found help and explanation.

Thanks for this site! I too have had dizziness, difficulty walking, tingling in legs and back, muscles twitches in legs, hand tremors, cognitive dysfunction, ringing in ears, pain and burning in toes and feet. I have these symptoms Daily! Worse lately. But started 2 years ago after second COVID Vacine!
I think I have a neuropathy but Neurologist only had me look up and down and said I’m okay!
And this at major Palo Alto clinic!
Anybody else have any idea what might treatment might work?
Gabapentin has poor mixed reviews! Help!?

I Understand what you have been feeling as I too have gone to a neurologist for symptoms buzzing, tremors, weak legs, muscle twitches all over and was diagnosed with restless leg and I know that is not what I have. After all the testing performed the Dr. doesn’t have a clue so he has to assign me with something I guess.

You should ask your primary care doctor to refer you for EMG testing. I developed sensory and motor peripheral neuropathy due to the Covid vaccine. For relief of the nerve pain in my feet, I have used 5% Lidocaine patches at night. I discovered it's also important to wear shoes with heavily cushioned insoles and avoid walking or standing on hard surfaces to allow the nerves in my feet to heal.

I also have very stiff legs and twitching. I had a stroke 21 days after my only Moderna jab not vaccine. My legs lock up at night and twitch when I’m sleeping I also have trouble walking because of poor balance. Not fair 64 and now broken.

After experiencing guillain Barre in 1977 then again in 2010 (rare, I know), I still experience twitching, pain, burning, weakness in my legs. However, with regular walking exercise, I remain active and ambulatory. I do take Paxil off label which helps decrease the muscle pain and twitching. I am as healed as I will get, but regular walking keeps me from being disabled. Walk!

Facebook has two groups for Covid vaccine injured survivors, the Neuro V Long-Haulers and the Neuro V-6+ Long-Haulers. Perhaps some info and/or help or support for Covjd vaccine injured sufferers, There are many thousands of world-wide members in the first group and long-term sufferers in the second. I, too, am Moderna vaccine injured, and wish for medical recognition of the vaccine sequellae that has cause us to "feel broken." There are thousands of us, and perhaps more, who need recognition and diagnoses and treatment of the debiltating syndrome, which has ended our previously normal active existence. May we all find support, information, and diagnoses, and a healing path.

I have had all those symptoms as well, and both started or got way worse after my second Moderna vaccine. I really wish that the Fed’s would stop blowing this off. It is all due to the vaccines. And no one will admit it.

My neurologist told me that I should not get the booster Ever! After two doses of Phizer, I’ve been struggling with so many disabilities since my vaccination. I haven’t been able to work in over a year.
