Does anyone have remedies for long haul Covid internal tremors and muscle spasms or twitches?

I had covid for first time in August. Had 4th vaccine two weeks before so fully vaccinated. No health issues before covid. 2nd & 3rd days of covid had what felt like electric shock going through body. A few days later developed tremors, twitches and body jerks. Mostly in evening before & after sleeping. Two weeks into covid went to Dr to find during covid I developed kidney failure- stage 3b. Never had any kidney problems before covid. Kidney’s bounced back- not to normal, but very managable. Tremors have continued and although not painful they do make sleeping difficult. My doctor wants me to see a neurologist locally, but I am hesitant because I am not sure anyone locally would have any idea. I also suspect they will think it is in my head! I have had tremors off and on now for around 70 days. Hoping they will simply go away. I do not know anyone with this symptom so just trying to roll with it. It is a bit scary… I do not know if go just ignore or if it could morph into something worse?

I can really feel your pain. My story. On June 8th 2021 21 days after my Covid jab I had a brain stem stroke. Since then I have had twitching in my legs that has progressed into spasms that locks my legs straight out or sometimes pulls my knees towards my chest if they go straight sometimes one or both will start to quiver and shake. This only happens at night when I am relaxing or sleeping. I seemed to be getting better the first 6 months following the stroke but after a bad fall Nov 6th 2021 on my chest I have gone backwards to the point now that I have no balance and can not walk without a cain. You are not alone. I also believe that the Covid vaccine is responsible for my condition. Djh

Since doing my own in depth research online I have been eating a low histamine diet and taking supplements. I am also going to be seeing a Functional MD who will carefully study my DNA and other tests and then prescribe the proper supplements and meds to hopefully help me to get better over time. All of this is paid out of pocket but I am willing to try anything at this point!

I've had great success with a functional MD. Excited for you!

Hi, I have tremors also, it's pretty frustrating, to be honest, I've actually had a few symptoms including nausea, and dizziness, unfortunately, I have also had a knock on my menstruation as my hormone levels are currently suggesting premature menopause.

Sorry you are also experiencing these tremors. Question, are yours throughout the day or just while sleeping? Mine only seem to be an issue while in sleep or semi sleep stage. Ongoing for 5 months or so now. I understand your frustrations. Good health to you soon!

After a very mild case of Covid I had body aches and periods of weakness. I also had trouble walking. I would get dizzy on the volleyball court and have to sit. Months after having Covid my tremors started. I still feel weak and at times need to be careful walking. I have been an athlete my whole life. I am trying hard not to get depressed. The tremors keep fluctuating from mild to bad. Any suggestions would be appreciate. I have been to several doctors.

Hi everyone, I am brand new on Mayo Connect and am actually heading to Mayo Clinic next month to be seen for Post-Covid Syndrome. I've had a bit of success with my local neurologist with symptom management around my tremors and muscle spasms from small fiber neuropathy that started a couple of months ago through medication treatment.

You might ask your doctor about taking Paxol, a antidepressant, off label,
for your muscle twitching, etc. I take it for similar muscle cramping,
pain, twitching, electric charges, etc., caused by two episodes of guillain
barre. It keeps me comfortable most of the time. And keep walking.
