Anyone taken Evenity (romosozumab) for Osteoporosis?
Has anyone taken Evenity? I understand it’s only been on the market for a little over a year. I’m hoping it will help with my severe osteoporosis. Any information is helpful.

Your numbers are almost like mine...I just keep hope they will not drop and maintain
..I will not take drugs as long as my dexa stays the same...
I have no idea about this particular drug but someone told me that medicine for osteoporosis can make bones so hard that they shatter when broken & that is scary to me. The person who told me this is a professional holistic chiropractor. She is very intelligent and knowledgeable.
I finished a year of Evenity and will get a bone density test , hopefully next week to see if there has been an improvement. My doctor wants to put me on Prolia immediately, but I am very concerned because I had a bad reaction to Fosamax .
I’ve been getting the monthly injection of Evenity for 6 months. It is a 12-month treatment. My rheumotologist gives me two shots per visit - into fatty tissue. I’ve not had any adverse reactions, other than some soreness at injection site for a day or two. I can’t say if it’s helped my bone loss yet. I am scheduled for a Dexa scan next month. I’m hopeful. I’ve tried many other treatments without much improvement.
@mmbgcx Prolia and Fosamax are different types of drugs, as you probably know. I am going to do Reclast after Tymlos and am nervous because I also had a bad reaction to Fosamax, and both are biphosphonates.
My doc won't use Prolia because of the abrupt drop off in bone density when stopped. Amgen makes both Evenity and Prolia and suggests Prolia as a follow-up, naturally, and it seems many docs are going along with that. It's tough: no good options!
Thanks for your reply - What is Tymlos and did you get a good result from it?
Has anyone had bone density improvement just with calcium supplements and vitamin D?
Would you please post your results when you get your dexa scan. I am just starting Evenity. Thank you.
Yes, of course.
Just so I'm clear fosamax is a pill? And Prolia is a shot every 6 months
