Long Covid + getting more boosters- any reputable info out there?

I had the two Moderna shots and one booster. Got Covid in May and have been suffering with neurological long Covid issues. Lots of neurological studies and appointments for me.
Now I wonder if I should get a new booster. Would it help? Is it safe? Will it help or worsen my condition?
Anybody seen any reputable studies or articles addressing this? I’ll be asking my own doctor too. Just don’t know what to do!

Monday. So far, I haven’t had any changes. Hoping it stays that way! Don’t want any to come back or get worse! Still dealing with the dizziness. Was hoping by some small miracle that the booster would help with the dizziness.

When I was ready for my second Phizer booster shot I came down with covid for the first time. I have long covid symptons and asked the pharmacist what he thought about taking the second booster. . He said he would not take the second booster. My son, an MD researched the question and said I was 10% likely to have a side effect. Now I am looking for a third opinion from my internest. Will let you know what I decide.

I will do that. Since this was my first booster, the pharmacist had to check to make sure I could get the updated booster. I also got the flu shot at the same time. All good so far!!

Caught Covid right after my second Moderna booster, don't think the booster had anything to do with it - just the evolution of the virous and the fact the populous seems to think its ok to ignore it since it is the common belief that it's no worse than the common flu now - big mistake. Just got the third booster (I'm into month 7 of long covid) and no new complaints.

As far as gastric problems I'm into week two of a new over-the-counter-probiotic, VSL#3 and actually have seen significant improvement. you won't find it on the shelf as it has to be refrigerated so you might have to ask your pharmacist to see if he has it in the frig behind the counter or can order it. I've had gastric problems for decades that finally found to be diverticulosis in the upper intestines last year - doctor informed me that there was no cure so get use to the symptoms. My last visit he recommended this probiotic, so I started 8 days ago and its now my go to product. 15 years with virtually every brand on the shelf with no evidence of relief and this one actually performed or was it the third booster? Search - VSL#3,NIH - and read the write up.

I got it (Third Moderna Booster along with the old folks Flu Shot on 10/15/2022) other than sore arm the next day - no bad affects.

thanks for the update. Will be getting my third booster in November (3month wait after covid). Trying to get prepared for any affects to my existing long covid. Keep the input coming.

The bivalent vaccine contains two components of SARS-CoV-2 virus, one of the original strain of SARS-CoV-2 and the other one of the BA.4 and BA.5 lineages of the omicron variant.

Thanks for the move. I LOVE the Mayoclinic Connect website! It's sooo helpful. I've been looking for weeks to find any (and I do mean any) info on long covid and new booster with no luck. It's nice to hear from people in the same "boat" and how they are dealing. Much appreciated.

Had Covid 2 weeks ago. Very fatigued. When should I get new bivalent booster? Got Covid 3 weeks after hip replacement. Don’t know if I am so tired from surgery or Covid.

@treat1027, I would think that both surgery and Covid are contributing to your feeling tired. That's a lot to deal with.
