Post COVID: Anyone experiencing internal vibrations?
I have had long covid for over two years and a symptom began sporadically during the initial seven weeks that has worsened since a second covid experience. It began as a “flutter” in my chest upon waking, lasting 5 seconds or so. It is not painful just a new sensation I have never experienced. After getting covid again in February 2022, the internal vibrations have become full body and go on for forty seconds. It is always upon waking or falling asleep temporarily during meditation and waking again. Long Covid retired me from my profession and I am not under any stress. I had a recent cardiac incident (also due to long Covid) and wore a Holter monitor. I triggered it whilst having an IV incident: definitely not cardiac induced. Has anyone else experienced IV like this?

I was tested positive for covid last June. After 2 week quarantine I was tested negative. Before going back to work, the swab test was also negative. But I was feeling the same as before I was tested positive. GI isuues like upset & bloated stomach, also my speech has become slurred. One morning when I woke up, I feel like I'm shaking inside. Now, every morning I wake up, I feel like I'm shaking inside, the feeling like when you are starving. Is this what you call internal tremors or vibrations? How can we manage this?
Since no meds have helped you and your best outcome has been increased voluntary control of the spasms, I wnder if a form of biofeedback can assist you in this process. There sre EEG brain wave traners and EMG muscle trainers, with one or both possibly helping you gain additional control of autononic body funtions. I used an EEG machine to train subjects to cobtrol their brain waves in my doctoral dissertation. I think there may be some practitioners who have the training and skills to make positive suggestions. The trainin is noninvasive, and if recommended by your pulmonologist could possibly be covered by insurance,
Wow! This is fascinating. I like it and I will definitely look into this approach. Thank you so much.
Biofeedback uses a signal, usually a light or sound to help the
subject-patient identify when a target reaction occurs, The trainer
technician should be raising the goal or increasing the target objective as
the patient learns increasing control of certain autonomic or reflexive
functions. IF brain waves are a good way to calm the spasms, it is likely
that the slower waves called either alpha or theta may have some healing
effects. I am not as familiar with EMG training, but it is likely that some
muscle tension would be involved in the spams. The training would
likely involve placing electrodes on the surface of the muscles that can be
trained to release tension. You are not entirely aware of how you achieve
the result, but the feedback lets you know when you are successful, and
your body learns on its own,
I have been rumbling, buzzing, tremoring, and shaking since January, so 8 plus months now. Yes!! It’s the worst when I first wake up. My whole body will rumble until I get up and move around a lot. I take 200mg gabapentin morning and night. 400mg daily. My neurologist has done two eegs and other tests. Everything comes back normal. I had to quit my old job because over exertion can make my symptoms bad for a week or more. But walking and being on my feet lessen my symptoms. It’s like my nervous system has PTSD. It’s tough because some doctors just think your crazy and it’s anxiety. Luckily some of my doctors believe me. One of my doctors literally doesn’t think I have long Covid. Luckily he is just a rehab doctor. I have had these internal full body vibrations ever sense I got Covid for months. Covid caused it. Also my teeth never stop chattering. Just because I can talk doctors just brush it off. I did a low histamine diet for awhile it helped. Then I slowly reintroduced food. Now I can eat normally. Except sometimes digesting food will give me pots. I also take 25mg hydroxyzine at night. I have been taking notes on my symptoms since the beginning and will post them soon to the internet. Just know it’s gets better. Sometimes it will come back and be real bad and then it gets better again. It’s a roller coaster. But I believe recovery is possible over long amounts of time and good diet. I am @covidlonghaul on Instagram.
Yes! I literally say I feel like I’m vibrating on the instead for months now. My whole autonomic system is out of whack. Been wearing a track suit all summer long in 30 degree wheathwr. Always freezing a weird skin colouring. Pics say 1000 words.
I developed Neuropathy in my feet legs and fingers. I can't tell the difference between are bed vibration on low or when not on at all. Always a low feeling electrical current running 24/7.
I think mine is vaccine related. Developed essential tremor with that internal vibration. Tried Beta Blocker, made me so tired all the time. Have been off for about 3 months. tremors are better. Vibration happens on and off. Terrible tennitis which I had before this. Was diagnosed in April with ET and not happy. If I had covid I never knew. Tested before traveling but always negative. Working with Physical Therapist who attributes ET and vibration to vaccine as well.
The Facebook group below has been so helpful for vaccine injury - so many people from around the globe discussing symptoms - lots of vibrations, tinnitus, palpitations, etc. Easy to directly connect with people or give/get support. Also you can do 2 tests - one is an antibody test the second is nucleocapsid for Covid. If you have high antibodies but negative nucleocapsid - you got them from the vaccine and not the Covid virus.
I may be experiencing something similar occasionally. I first noticed it when I was in my car. When I turned the motor off, I “felt” the engine still running. I don’t always notice whatever this sensation is until it stops for a fraction of a second. By the time the pause has captured my attention, the motor resumes. It’s barely perceptible and easy to forget about until it pauses again, which can be days apart.
