Can Neuropathy be cured?
I’ve had P. neuropathy for 30 years. Just recently I’ve better controlled my blood sugar. So, I’m wondering if Neuropathy ever goes away, Or, if once the nerves are dead they’re just dead

Several times, I tried the Epson Salt and didn't help. I have PN shins to toes but slowly creeping up towards knees about one inch progression each year. I have other symptoms that neuro docs just can't figure out. It's like the peripheral nervous system is super sensitive. Just hoping to figure out some relief. Someday, I think docs will figure this all out.
I also have numbness plus some pain. I use the Arnica for both. It really does help. I’ve found that it also tames arthritis pain in my hands. Wish I’d known of it when I was going through gout pain.
I am pre diabetic but it has never been mentioned as a cause. I would hope there is a cure but my neurologist says NO! I seem to be getting worse and am so discouraged. It seems your Doctor has given you some hope. Best of luck
There is a biotech company in San Diego, CA WinSanTor which is conducting trials on a "Cure" using a topical medication featuring Pirenzepine. They have recently completed Stage II Trials and state that the results, soon to be published, show significant nerve regeneration including improved quality of life and are now seeking massive numbers of State III Trials participants.

Has anyone had an EMG and it determined normal nerve and muscle function, so if that was true why was I determined to have or it must be neuropathy ???? And had anyone lost their balance ????
Yes, I have balance issues. My last EMG in 2/2020 was not normal and although difficult to pinpoint, I'd say my balance issues because more serious in my 4th year of having PN. The first several years was numbness related, now both.
When I first stand, I concentrate for about 5 seconds and try to find my best position for balance.
Good evening @ancopau1998. I just read your post and wondered if you needed some additional help with the numbness you are experiencing. @johnbishop is one of our mentors and only has numbness as a presenting symptom with his small fiber peripheral neuropathy.
He also has many years of experience and should be able to help you with some possible medications or treatments for your feet and lower legs.
May you be free of suffering and the causes of suffering.
Chris
Oh yes, I'm willing to give anything a try. They feel tight also with the numb feeling. Thank You. Also how do I get intouch with him?
Hi there @ancopau1998, that was a quick response. @johnbishop will automatically receive my post in which I mentioned him and will post back to you promptly. Or, if you like you can just direct a post to him. Just use @johnbisohp as the "address".
Let me know if you need more help.
Chris
