Can Neuropathy be cured?
I’ve had P. neuropathy for 30 years. Just recently I’ve better controlled my blood sugar. So, I’m wondering if Neuropathy ever goes away, Or, if once the nerves are dead they’re just dead

@kenjolley -- There is a discussion on Sanexas treatments where @duquer and others have shared their experience — Does anybody have experience with SANEXAS for neuropathy?: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/comment/645606/
Have you looked into getting treatments with Sanexas?
My doctor says the nerves can regenerate as long as they are not under continual attack (too much sugar, too much alcohol, toxins), but they only grow about 1/4" in a year. The nerve regeneration is EXTREMELY slow. 🙁
Hi, all. I’ve found that Arnica lotions/ointments work well. You can find at health food stores and online. I use one made by Weleda, a German company. It’s a lotion. I put it on my feet and lower legs at night. Hope it helps you.
Is this for neuropathy in feet? I just have numbness no pain.
Thanks, Cat. I have tried lotions in the past. Maybe I should give it another try.
I have no pain, only numbness feet up to shins. Did you use this lotion for pain or numbness?
I have numbness only also. I sometimes use ordinary lotion because my feet get dry.
lecowing -- Odd, I have the opposite, sometimes, I have to change my socks 2X a day in the summer. I' ve used foot power to keep feet dry. Numbness - nothing helps, I' ve tried 10 different things including CBD cream, the tight sock feeling and foot asleep all the time is annoying. If you find something that can reduce the numbness, I'd sure like to know. Just started the R-ALA - we'll see. Ed
That is different and I do not have the tight sock feeling, just completely numb from the knees down. I sometimes soak my feet and ankles in warm water and Epsom salts and they feel a "little" less numb but only for several hours.
Pre-diaberes is the cause of my SFN. Today my neurologist, who practices at a major urban medical center, assured me that small fiber nerves can regenerate - provided I am more disciplined about adhering to a low-glycemic diet and increase exercise.
