Here to connect to others who have it or caregivers in a discussion of what to expect or how to help. He can’t take ofev pills till cleared by kidney dr and gi dr gi appointment not till august. Kidney dr cleared him to take it. Right now he is on albuteral and wexella inhaler nothing else. His o2 drops to 80 after a bath or walk if like 100 feee he can get it back to 92 in 5 minits. Dr said no oxygen til he’s at 59. Gp dr says early stages but 3 cat scans withing 6 months shows a lot of progression. We are very new to knowing much about this. Any tips or help with diet exercise what to expect would b greatly appreciated.

Still don’t know how to navigate this site. Wanted to post a update. He’s been on nintintab 150 mg a month. Blood work showed no changes and that’s good. It’s not hurting his liver. Will find out about kidneys 3rd week September. He’s doing about the same. Dr said we won’t know for a year if the pill is working. But we are getting cat scan in 6 months that will tell a lot also. Mild side affects for my husband so far mild. Some diareah and headache. Maybe not from pill but guessing it is. He eats half peanut butter sandwich with pill. If Any1 else has ipf and want to share here. I’d be happy to know about your journey. Any bit of info helps thank you. And Il always post here. I did not find a ipf message board
