Iron Depletion in Blood related to COVID?

Has there been any reports of iron depletion in the blood after receiving the Pfizer vaccine?

Ah, no pressure then (!)

I'm thinking of reporting it to the Government department that deals with reporting unusual side effects of medication. I don't have G.P backup but I think I'm going to report my experience anyway.

My Doc said they were reporting to VAERS as I had good documentation as a frequent blood donor that I became anemic right after the two shots.

You can report a vaccine injury yourself without a doctor involvement. I did, but of course it gets you nothing but the satisfaction of knowing you are not alone. I will not be taking any booster shots.

First let me say that I'm glad I'm not alone. I am a very healthy 43 year old female. I am having the same issue. I have had the COVID vaccine and booster. I know have iron deficiency. It started with thinking I had a pulmonary issue since I could barely breathe on my runs (before this I was running and at OTF). It was actually that I had almost no iron. I have never had a health issue in my life. My past CBCs are rock solid. Since finding this out, I have had a colonoscopy, endoscopy, capsule endoscopy, pelvic ultrasound, CT of my abdomen, chest and thorax. I have also had about 10-12 blood tests, urine tests, stool tests, and tested for H Pylori. Everything is perfect, but my iron is dropping 3 mg/dl a day. I get Infed injections which leave a horrible bruise for months. I can hold iron to save my life! Seems suspect that it was the vaccination.

Sorry this happened to you but glad you found this forum. I have had the same issue as you but there is light at the end of the tunnel. I had two Infed infusions and have been taking an Iron supplement. First infusion was March and another in May. My latest blood test last week shows my Iron levels as normal. Hang in there and hope you get back to normal. BTW, I had two Phizer shots but no booster and will never take a booster.

Hi-so glad I found these comments. My iron levels dropped considerably after getting the second Moderna shot and then a booster. I have no symptoms of anemia, am considered very healthy, but my recent blood work results are a bit worrisome. Literally nothing has changed in my lifestyle (diet, sleep, exercise) except for getting the vaccine and booster.

Ditto for me - two Pfizer shots, became anemic, 3 infusions and back to normal for now. No more shots for me either.

I'm so glad I found this chat. In an office if 10 allied hospital workers, 3 of whom have ongoing iron def issues, 3 who had covid. All of us had the j&j vaccine and now all of us have experienced fatigue and dissy spells which led us to do iron tests.. All of tested low fe and ferritin.. Even the people who have never had an iron issue are presenting with ferritin of 10 to 15 microgram/l

I experienced the same adverse effect after receiving the J&J vaccine. Thankfully, all returned to normal after a few months of daily iron supplements
