Do you use CBD and/or THC for pain/inflammation from RA or Sjögrens?

Posted by jba @jba, May 31, 2022

I have both of these autoimmune diseases. I have seen a few posts from others who use CBD or THC. can any share about this? I am interested in: Do either, or a combination of the two, help? In what way(s)? What concentrations? Balanced between the two?
I have been certified and registered by the Minnesota State Health Department for Medical Marijuana and will be connected with an approved pharmacy/dispensary. It will help me navigate this process to hear from anyone with experience. Thanks for any feedback/information!

Terpenes are the components that give something it’s aroma. The smell of a rose for example...so, different plants will have a different profile. These are also talked about in relation to essential oils....same terpenes.
Lots on Web regarding terpenes....
We use a lot of essential oils in the house, so I’m quite familiar.

You can also go to Leafly.com, they have a library of info on everything CBD/THC medical and recreational, strains, terpenes, full- spectrum etc. They have good reading material to educate yourself ahead of a visit to a dispensery so you can ask appropriate questions related to your concerns
Good luck!

We have been trying to get medical marijuana on the ballot in our state. Turned down again. I use full spectrum CBD before bedtime to help me sleep.

I have used THC in the past. I am in Texas, our laws prevent higher dose products so I have stopped for the time being. Do some research on Sativa and Indica strains of the marijuana plants. One may be more helpful than the other.

I ha e 5 auto immune diseases and take 26 pills a day. I am allergic to all opiates so pain management is a big challenge.
I use a combo CBD/THC which I've been told works best than just using only one or only the other.
You will have to expirament with what ratios of cbd to thc work best for you.
Indicas or indica leaning hybrids work well for at night for pain relief, help with sleep, relaxation and reducing nausea
With sativas comes a boost in serotonin, which regulates learning, mood, sleep, anxiety, and appetite.

There are different types of edibles with different mg's of cbd/thc, there are tinctures, drinks, topicals, vapes...the bud tender (the person that will help you decide what you buy/need) will advise you what is best for you agyer speaking with you, based on your needs. Start slow, you can always add more if needed.
Good luck! It's a life saver for me!!
