Does Milk Thistle help after liver transplant?

Hello everyone. I could not find info on milk thistle.

I wanted to know how much this benefits after liver transplant specially if you have some kind of biliary condition or abnormal liver enzymes?

Also does this help against immunosuppression drug toxicity?

What anti-fungal did you use to get rid of the fungus? I tried Lamisil 3 times that didn't work which I think you may have been referring to in your first post.
Some fungus hates oxygen so I was wondering if the fungus might be susceptible to Hyperbaric chamber therapy. Probably not or I would think the doctor would have mentioned it but considering the cost maybe not.

Hi, Jake.
Sorry for the delayed response but I am not on Connect much these days. I am attaching a picture of what the doctor gave me as a prescription. It cost $50 from him but there are products in the drug stores that have the same main ingredient that I suspect are just as good. That ingredient is Tolnaftate 1%.

It takes a long time when using a topical. I believe the oral medications work more quickly but they can interfere with your kidneys. My transplant center let me try it for few days but it was a problem so I had to stop.

@jakedduck1 I'm sorry Lamisil didn't work for you. Is that a pill or a topical? If it's a topical you do need to be patient. It took close to a year for me to get rid of mine. If Lamisil is not a topical, then try a topical and just keep at it, following the directions. I think I went through two bottles of it, maybe even more. In the meantime I had intermediate checkups with the podiatrist I went to. When he finally said it was fine I was thrilled.
