Has anyone experienced internal vibrations?
I started having the only way I can explain it is internal vibrations. I've had them for 3 months now, I went to t hihe ER and they told me it was anxiety. A doctor diagnosed me at a clinic as having Lyme disease I've started a 21-day prescription of Doxycycline I'm on day 7. I went to a psychiatrist a week ago to get something because of my nerves are just over the brink. He prescribed me Gabapentin and Valium I've only been on them a few days.
Has anyone experienced these internal vibrations?I have them almost 24/7 chest neck stomach from the hips down. I have more lab tests that should be in today, but the doctor's office said that they would not call unless there was some abnormality in the lab work.

TU for ur kindness. I’ve pretty much been ignored by ppl who I thought were our forever friends. I found I couldn’t live in a cold winter so I spend those cold mos in mid Fl. I also stay away from emotional conflicts - they raise Cortisol and adrenaline this more and more pain. I read and write, do Bible study, pray and meditate. Stretching before bed and upon rising is very helpful. Epsoms salts baths help a lot too.
When you refer to "CSS", are you talking about Churg-Strauss syndrome (CSS) as a possible cause of these internal vibrations? MAYO CLINIC describes that condition here: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/churg-strauss-syndrome/symptoms-causes/syc-20353760 Perhaps you were referring to a different "CSS" condition instead? By the way, there are two internal vibrations/internal tremors groups on facebook, but one of them is for the during-sleep-only type of vibrations and the other is for internal tremors, more generally (24/7 vibrations). It is amazing how so many people got these vibrations from post-covid long-hauling. Mine started with a different cause, but there really has been an uptick this past year, it would appear. My vibrations only happen during sleep. Thank you in advance for your answers, experiences and input!
@martinaston Hello there! Thank you for joining the conversation about vibrations/tremors. CSS is Central Sensitization Syndrome, a nervous system disorder where the brain amplifies signals from the body via the spinal cord. CSS can also play role in chronic fatigue syndrome. Basically, CSS an umbrella to many syndromes like fibromyalgia, neuropathy, POTS, migraine, etc....
Perhaps this video by Mayo Clinic's Dr. Sletten will be of help to you:
I looked back at some of your posts to learn a bit about what brings you to Connect. I honestly have to say that you sir, are a prime candidate for CSS. Your detailed account of your health journey very much resembled mine. Confusion after confusion, with doctors coming up empty on solid findings. Will you please let me know your thoughts after watching the video?
@irr4et You have a good perspective on self-regulating and symptom management. Thanks for sharing what works for you. I learned a stretch routine while attending Mayo Pain Rehab that works every joint from jaw to toe. It's wonderful.
Ahhh...cold months in Florida, what a treat!
Has anyone with internal tremors been diagnosed with or researched Stiff Person Syndrome? I get internal tremors often and this is what I have.
I have experienced these internal tremors and was told it is sensory processing from my TBI. Wishing you well!
Yes , had them for 2 yrs. Sometimes they’re so strong. In my head also, sometimes it’s so intense. I don’t know what to do.
Hey, @hockeyguy13, I was thinking about you today and wondering how you're doing? Any positive changes?
@andrews65 Hi there. It must be frustrating to feel such intenseness. Do you use any techniques to calm your mind and body during the episodes?
No, things almost seem worse.
