thin walled blood vessel causes brain bleed
In December, 2015 I had a brain bleed caused by a thin walled blood vessel. Recently I had my annual physical, my Dr. prescribed a medication, can't recall the name of the medication, but when I asked him what it was for, he said to enlarge the blood vessels. I asked him how this might effect the thin walled blood vessel I imagine still located in my brain,(located outside the sack)? He indicated, "Great Question, never asked that before and should check with Neurology), so, I am asking, would this drug have an effect on a thin walled blood vessel causing the vessel to leak, or burst ?

Hello @ccozad, You are asking a great question and one I would certainly ask if it were me. Unfortunately we are not medical experts or doctors and cannot answer these type of questions. I understand that this is very troublesome that you didn't get an answer from the doctor who prescribed the medication even though he said it was a great question. Have you thought about talking to the pharmacist or asking the doctor again maybe suggesting or asking if he can find out for you?
Hemorrhagic stroke : A friend has a slow brain bleeding problem then when Blood Pressure increased had a stroke which was treated quickly.. but she has a vision problem where peripheral vision on the left side is very impaired. What type of treatments and or surgery have been done or given to improve the situation in an 80 yr old female.?
Hi @ken82, If I understand your question, you are looking to help your friend find what type of treatments and/or surgery have been given to help with her slow brain bleeding problem. I have no personal experience that I can share but it looks like the answer really depends on the cause of the slow brain bleeding problem. Here's some information I found on the topic.

Has your friend thought about seeking help at a major teaching hospital or health facility like Mayo Clinic? If she would like to seek help from Mayo Clinic, she contact one of the appointment offices. The contact information for Minnesota, Arizona and Florida can be found here http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63.
My friend lives in Los Angeles.. and has been treated at UCLA hospitals and Cedars/UCLA Rehab facilities for this "brain bleeding stroke" .. but getting the best, most knowledgeable help and treatment is always the best approach.. Mayo Phoenix is certainly the closest.. She fell down a few steps a couple weeks before the stroke.. that certainly could have caused the problem in an 80 year old woman.
Mayo Clinic Care Network also might be an option. I see that California has Palomar Health which is a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network. Members have access to Mayo's knowledge, expertise and resources. More information here -

@johnbishop .. thank you.. that Mayo Clinic Network is a good thing to know about... As many times as I have been to Mayo MN.. I had not heard about the alternative for those who may not be able to take long trips.
@ken82, I hope you are able to help your friend find some answers and treatment. If it works out to see someone in the Mayo Clinic Care Network, it would be great if you could provide an update on your experience. I think it would help a lot of members find closer treatments.
