Has anyone tried the HF10 Spinal Cord Stimulation Device?

I hope you get a lot of permanent relief.

Your pain location is higher up than mine was so you won't have the problem that I had. But for others reading this, the sensation of the stimulator was felt very much in the groin and was a little, ah... too stimulating and it didn't help the pain despite the fact that the trial did help the pain. For some odd reason, the doctor who placed the trial was not the same doctor Who placed the permanent line in my spine. I don't know if this had anything to do with it, but it was not successful for me at all and I stopped using it.

I have had mine for over a year and it has been a blessing. I couldn't even walk before I got it now do oVer 2 miles a day, pain free!

6 or 7 months ago, lower right side of back, pain in hips and lower back.

Morning for me and this is just me I have a fusion on L4/L5 which is just above the sacroiliac joint. I don't know if it's because I'm thin or just the position of it the fusion but I feel it all the time. On the other hand, I would never consider a spinal cord stimulator you never know what could happen or go wrong heard too many stories about the SCS. I've also spoken to people with multiple fusions and they have absolutely no problem at all. If I were you no matter how long you have had this surgeon I would get 1 or 2 more opinions from surgeons to look at your back and see what they say. It's a matter of opinion and what you feel comfortable with but do the trial SCS before you make a permanent decision. Again this is my opinion only and you are the only one that can ultimately make the decision for yourself. I'm sorry I never went for another opinion before I let this surgeon do the fusion. I had a herniated disc which could have been handled quite differently. But I found out that my neurosurgeon does spinal fusions 100% of the time. Good Luck my friend.

Look into the research on intradiscal stem cells. If this becomes available it may be the answer to any disc related pain at the disc above or below L4-L5.

I have now had the Nevro HF10 for eight months. I have found some relief but am still working with the Nevro rep to see if they can can get the overstimulation down. I can have it set on a program but after 24 to 48 hours it gets so painful that I have to turn it down. Then it happens again and I turn it down. I guess my nerves are too sensitive. Hoping to find some program that I can stay on for more than 48 hours and stay there. Anyone else have that type of problem?
