Carpal tunnel like symptoms post COVID

Posted by debbterr @debbterr, Jan 2, 2022

I came down with COVID in October 2021. During my 3 week illness, I experienced tingling in both hands foe about 2 weeks. It eventually went away, but 2 weeks ago I started experiencing carpal tunnel like pain in both wrists. Wondering if it could be related to COVID. Anyone else experience anything similar?

This is a newer symptom for me. I got sick with covid January 2021. Over the past few months I started having tingling in my toes and fingers, that turned into arthritis like pain in my hands, wrists, elbows, feet, ankles.
I'm going for an EMG today.

I also have tingling & numbness in my hands fingers abdomen, after Covid in Jan 2021. After going to numerous drs & test was diagnosed with sarcoidosis, however no one seemed to be bothered with the tingling or numbness. I finally have a neurologist appt scheduled for May of 2022.

Welcome, Gina. Do you find the pins and needles subside throughout the day? Do you have other symptoms since having had COVID?

hello and thank you
I tested positive in August of 2021
Was seen in ER for dehydration pulse ox was always ok but did get secondary bronchial infection and thrush in mouth
During Covid I had numbness in my thumb and lower arm on right side and hip joint are still aching to date
I say it took me well into September until those symptoms of cough and dry mouth ceased
But then end of September I began having rapid increase in restjng heart rate and even with playing with my toddler or going for a short was I spiked up to 185 bpm
I feel Short of breathe constantly
Went for ekg and eeg and wore a monitor for 48 hours
Showed some inflammatory finding and tachycardia. It’s like things get better then reoccur
Recently I stared with the pins and needles at night
It does subside during day
But will find some
Episodes of wrist pain and numbness during the day and sometimes numb feeling in cheek
I’m not sure why this is happening and if I should seek ok an neuro or just chalk up to long Covid
Worrying about getting another vaccine as I hear long
Covid may be due to micro clots or virus still be trapped in vessels

It’s comforting to hear everyone’s stories as support thank you

Hi,
Hope all is well. I have had so many complications after my hospitalization. I have been three days without being able to extend my arm due to severe wrist pain. Prior to this I had a massive flare up of lung and joint inflammation. Never had this before covid.

I got covid in aug 2021.
I was hospitalized. Since then I have had severe congestion daily. Short of breath pain in my upper back and lungs. I was hospitalized again for orbitial cellulitis. My eye is still a little inflamed. I get inflammation in bouts and my joints start to ache my lungs are inflamed and all my breathing muscles hurt. The docs say it’s thoracic back pain. When it is deep in my joints and feels like lung pain. Today I am coming out of a 7 day flare up of inflammation. I can’t extend my arm due to severe wrist pain. I haven’t gone to doc yet.
