Post COVID Symptoms: Brain fog and tingling lips
I got Covid in January and shingles one month later. Is it possible that my brain fog and tingly lips are from post covid brought on by getting shingles?

@ishdma
I don't wish to alarm you but this is really an emergency at this point.
Please do as @merpreb suggested and contact your Doctor or possibly go to the ER. I had days of diarrhea many years ago and my daughter took me to the ER. My BP was so low I saw the Doctor immediately and was given an IV to get my fluids up. I remember feeling so much better but was admitted for a few days because the origin of the diarrhea was unknown and the only thing I could think of at that time was food poisoning.
I also am a healthy senior with no underlying medical conditions but this is serious for you at this point.
Please let us know
FL Mary
@ishdma- I am concerned want to know if you contacted your doctor, or went to the ER? How are you feeling today?
@jshdma That is a long time to have diarrhea.
You'll notice that I moved your question to an existing discussion related to vaccine side effects. I did this so you could connect with members like @rolla0812 @drleiferman in a central location.
May I ask what you are doing to stay hydrated?
I tested positive for Covid in July and lost all sense of taste and smell. The past six weeks my lower lip burns and tingles constantly as well as the top of my tongue. My lips are dry and swollen and I can’t eat anything with salt or spicy foods. I have never had this until I had Covid. What can I possibly do?
Hi Cbscuba, you’ll find members talking about regaining their loss of taste and smell in this discussion:

You mention that the burning and tingling lips started about 6 weeks ago. Has any taste or smell returned since July?
Hi Merry. How long after the vaccine did you realize there were some neurological side effects? My second shot was the beginning of September, and for about the past two months I’ve been have periodic eye flashes/ocular migraines, as well as just feeling foggy and spacey. It sort of feels like my eyes are fatigued a lot.
It has also ushered in some anxiety, which doesn’t help matters. I do have an mri scheduled (for tomorrow actually) to be sure there’s nothing serious going on.
But there wasn’t anything sudden after the vaccine, which hasn’t really made me think it’s a strong possibility
Good morning @tylerk. My ocular migraine wasn't connected to one of the vaccines as all of my migraines now are driving me nuts with how different they are. My signs were about a couple of weeks later.
There is a group concerned with migraines; https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/migraines-27b15e/
Had you had migraines prior to the vaccines?
Interesting. And you weren’t having this issue prior to the vaccine? Luckily, I don’t have much head pain, the ocular part is the majority of it, having eye flashes and seeing after images, and just feeling light headed, spacey, foggy. I never had any prior to vaccine, and it began 18 days after the second shot. My doctor wanted to be sure nothing is going on, so I got a brain mri yesterday, I’m hoping it’s all fine. I’d be far less anxious if I knew it was an effect of the vaccine versus a mystery brain issue.
Thank you for your response, hopefully some of the issues begin fading for you.
Hi, new to this group. Anyone have AFib with Covid? Also, positive test at home. Negative at hospital. Both fast checks done. Had dizziness first, extreme vomiting, then AFib. 911 was called. Hours at hospital trying to get rate down. Before only had AV block stage one. When getting vaccines l had tingling lips, fatigue. Tingling lips are back, so really wondering if it is a weird Covid experience.?
@shart3, that must've been frightening. The a-fib may or may not be related to COVID. What's important is that you knew to call 911 and get help. If you would like to connect with other members managing and living well with a-fib, please follow the discussions in this group:

Have the tingling lips gone away again?
