It is an app gathering information from the general public to predict who has the virus and so track COVID infections originally in the UK and now other countries. People are asked to download the app and report information daily. Daily reporting data are used to generate new scientific understanding of the different symptoms the virus causes in different people and more.

The News and Research section (https://covid.joinzoe.com/blog) on the website shares more about the research, webinars, and academic papers that are being produced entirely because of the contributions by the public.

What did you learn from the webinar? What did it help you understand better?

The ZOE Study gave me a lot of insight into how immunosuppressant meds function and how vaccines function. It confirmed my suspicions about the impaired effectiveness of the vaccine for people like me who use medications to address autoimmune diseases like Multiple Sclerosis. I really want to get the Pfizer vaccine, but I don’t want to be lulled into a false sense of security. I have zero problem isolating from people or wearing a mask if that’s impossible.

I didn’t access the webinar. I read the posting for the study itself. It is a posting that contains several separate sections addressed to separate concerns
