It is an app gathering information from the general public to predict who has the virus and so track COVID infections originally in the UK and now other countries. People are asked to download the app and report information daily. Daily reporting data are used to generate new scientific understanding of the different symptoms the virus causes in different people and more.

The News and Research section (https://covid.joinzoe.com/blog) on the website shares more about the research, webinars, and academic papers that are being produced entirely because of the contributions by the public.
