That is not a total surprise. Did you get it over the counter or a medical marijuana dispensary? I ask because over the counter CBD can be hit and miss. There are several types of CBD products that have different makeups (terpenes) that are geared toward different ailments. Getting with a good medical marijuana friendly for consultation. They can help with recommendations for you. Also you should give it at least 2 weeks to allow titration into your system.

Depending upon the severity - you might need a little THC in the CBD to get the full effects.

As I mentioned - a ratio - height CBD to a low amount of THC really helps me.
I’d be glad to give you and anyone more info as much as I can help.

Hi @mindy6, this is a great question. I have read about agent orange and the issues it has caused so many people. I am sorry to hear that your father-in-law has tremors as a result of his exposure to this agent. I'd like to invite @johnjames and @mstephen to this discussion as they have discussed their experiences with being exposed to agent orange as well and may be able to talk a bit more about that.

@mindy6, if you don't mind sharing, have you discussed CBD oil for tremors with your father-in-laws medical provider? It is also my understanding that CBD oil without the THC can be purchased without a license, is that correct or am I mistaken?

I can’t answer you in regards to agent Orange but as far as Parkinson’s I have spoken to my doctor about CBD many times. She told me there have not been enough studies done yet to say yeah or nay on it yet. I have heard people also ask about medical marijuana and again she did not recommend it to me for use for tremors. That’s the best information I can tell you. Good luck!

I was DG with Parkinson’s a year ago with a slight hand tremor. I have not started any meds yet, but I have started CBD/THC oil. I have found it has help me a lot with stiffness, sleep, it has helped my tremor, but still have them in evening when I get tired. I did consult with my movement specialist at Mayo before I started the oil, and he said still a lot of research needed but he had patients that like it....just don’t abuse. I also do the Big hand exercises daily and muscular message once a month. I am 75 years old and trying to stay off Parkinson meds as long as I can. It has really helped with my stiffness not sure how much is age related.

What brand and strength of CBD/THC do you use, I’m looking for something to try. I don’t like meds

i like CBD gummies from CBDMD to help me sleep. They sent me a CBD bath bomb along with my last order. I've yet to try it, but it sounds interesting.

It has no THC. It is 300 mg but you can buy it stronger. I had thought of adding some THC when I was sick with chemo but I never did.

Hello - I’m glad that You are seeing some benefits. I an a PD / MD patient and have had some great success with CBD and MMJ. If you live in a state where medical marijuana is legal - I’d suggest looking into that. That gives you access to a better grade of CBD that you can get off the shelf.
I have found that to be a very important factor for me. Just like other meds - it is important to have the same formulation and concentration.
Different CBD oils will have different formulations that helps with different ailments depending on the terpenes that are in the mix.
Not sure if the place you get the CBD from has folks knowledgeable to help steer you to a good product for him. A stable and predictable formulation is paramount so you know what you are getting from dose to dose and bottle to bottle.
You can also find the products in several forms to help people with different ailments to be able to consume the product.
I utilize the MMJ products for movement, stiffness, pain, mood, tremors, relaxation, sleep, relieving racing thoughts.

Hi Larry @larryh123
Do you use the CBD / MMJ alongside other, "regular" PD medication? Or is it the only thing you take? I am a PD patient myself, haven't started on PD meds yet.

Where do you buy your CBD that you can afford to do 750mg? I am paying $150 for a 1800mg bottle for my dad.

I did research and found this article most helpful https://cbdclinicals.com/best-cbd-oil-for-tremors/ followed up in same article by https://cbdclinicals.com/cbd-oil-for-neuropathy/ at end of which some brands are rated. I chatted with the organic brand NuLeaf full spectrum. 300 mg oil $29.99, 900 mg $79.99 & free ship.Their FAQ says they have assistance programs for people in need.

The Endocabinnoid System (ECS) is throughout the body, not just the brain. CBD awakens the ECS in the gut to bring homeostasis to the entire body. It helps all organs speak optimally...even if you think it is not doing something for the tremors, it is and it is doing so much more! It also has Omegas 3.6 and 9. It took almost 3 mos for my tremors to end but so many other items were happening for the better. CBD is an herb, not a drug. It does not mask issues. It takes time to make changes. Be faithful in the sublingual drops under your tongue 2x daily. The company I use is 300mg maintenance, 500mg pain, 750mg chronic issues, 1500mg serious. It is whole sale priced and has a 60 day money back guarantee, no questions asked.

Please share here. Others might benefit. Like me for example. I was told to use a 2:1 ratio cbd to thc, but couldn't find that, so did half heartedly try the 1:1 plus extra cbd to make up for it. But aside from calming my nerves, I'm not sure it did anything. There are so many fearmongering about it, that I got scared and stopped trying. Needing some encouragement now.
