@melody12, You are in my thoughts. It is mid December already. Is your surgery still scheduled for Dec 21?
Is there anything I can do for you in the days leading up to this?
Yes, Lord willing. Getting anxious now and pray God’s guidance for the surgical team and all the many hands that will care for me. Thoughts and prayers are all I need. Rosemary, I personally thank you for remembering me and my surgical date during this busy holiday season🙏🎄❤️
Just done it it's a walk in the park . It's the months after the battle with drugs begin
I remember everything, especially the recovery. However, I found new loves, friends, desires/interests and a new amazing and strong women…Myself! Start my days with a grateful heart and though the road ahead will be difficult, it is not impossible! Thanks for the well wishes.
My surgery is over a 3 day period with being intubated on the 2nd day to allow my body to rest a bit before the next part. After that it is ICU for 2-3 days and then onto the floor for approx. 5 days. Hopefully mine will be “a piece of cake” as you said. I will post on that when this is all in my rear view mirror.
The surgery time is 4.5 hours max . You dont know a thing . I went to hospital the day before next afternoon I was taken in . That simple sorry about your extra things you need to do
Hi...I've been thinking of you and your surgery...prayers for you and your medical team 🙏❤ I had an appt with a general surgeon regarding my melon....going for a CT tomorrow...we'll see what it shows and what she says. I'll be thinking of you on the 21st and praying all goes well❤
Kathy, Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. I hope your Dr. is thorough and don’t be discouraged if they don’t find anything, because mine was not seen on the CT or the Ultrasounds. I will be praying for your outcome and advisement. Keep me/us updated of your progress as I will do the same. 🎄🙏❤️
Kathy, I’m hoping that you get the news that you have been waiting for. Life with a transplant is always an adventure!
@kathycaudle, I'm thinking about you and wondering if you have any update about your preholiday appointment with a general surgeon.
Were you able to have the CT performed? Did you learn anything about any possible treatment? What is next for you?
