For people who regularly take immune suppressant medication, which of the Covid-19 vaccines are most effective ?

@strongevergreen. Ive been on immune suppressant for approximately 3.5 years and had the Pfizer vaccines with no problems. I have ‘heard’ the Pfizer is the best one, but when Dr. Fauci is asked that question, he feels that they are all equal. His answer is it’s best to just get one and get the series.

@strongevergreen, I'm a transplant recipient, and have been taking immunosuppressive meds for 12 years. I was advised to get the vaccine was available in my area. I have had Pfizer.

I had dose #1 and #2 in Feb/Mar. and the #3 for Transplant recipients/ immunocompromised in Aug. My only side effects were some fatigue, mild fever, and mild aches. Each was a 1 Tylenol event and a lazy day.

I continue to take all safety precautions like mask, distancing, and hand cleaning. I hope you can get yours scheduled soon.

My daughter is missing part of her immune system and didn’t get vaccine right away because she didn’t think her body would build up antibodies. She did get Moderna in April and then tested for antibodies. She had antibodies. She had no problem with the vaccine. I got a Moderna booster in August. I had moderately severe skin rash in two places. Never heard it could cause skin until I googled it. I had a shingles like rash on rib area and a chicken pox rash on my chest. I still get an occasional pox on upper chest.

Have been on rituxan for 2 years. I Had two moderma shots. March and april.
With 1st i got a terrible facial breakout. Medicine helped
calm it down.
With the 2nd shot i was sick for a couple of days.
I got tested for antibodies in august. Had none.
Caught COVID at the end of August. Got treated right away with Regen-Cov . I was moderately sick for 7-10 days.
I have dome neurological carryovers but feel fine.
Need to get the Third shot next.
