Has anyone tried the HF10 Spinal Cord Stimulation Device?

Has anyone tried a device called HF10 ? It’s a device which stimulates your spinal cord to help relieve back and leg pain. After a trial period of about a week, if the patient is achieving good results the device is implanted in the person. My pain management doctor has recommended it to me for arm and hand nerve pain. I would like to hear from anyone who has used this device and especially from anyone who has used it for arm and hand pain. Thank you.

I assume the trial your brother had with the Nevro. Can you tell us if he got good results? Also, what part of his body was he experiencing pain? Thank you

Trial was impacted by Leads moving and not getting relief for last few days. Have decided to move forward with permanent Nevro SCS in late November and will post experience.

I have had a spinal cord stimulator for about a year now & I can tell no difference.I am considering having it removed.

@spinrosa I also tried the Abbott DRG and it made my pain worse over time. Horrible. It is now shut off, and I am leaving the Battery and leads inside my body. Not enduring another surgery. Pain Doc says that is fine. I wonder what percentage of people are really helped by these devices? LoriRenee1

I am mostly pain free for 18 months now. I am glad that I have this device implanted, and can have a normal life again.

Wow. So your temp implant went ok? Who was your DR? What city? I am going to probably make a decision next week.

@lindes I am so happy that a device is helping you. I don't hear much in the way of success stories with the spinal cord stimulators. It gives me happiness to hear you are doing ok with one. Which one do you have? It is wonderful! LoriRenee1

I have the unit from Medtronics. I think a lot of the success depends of the way it is installed. when they had the leads in place, they woke me up from the anesthesia, and checked with me that it was in the desired location to eliminate my pain. They put me back to sleep and finished the surgery. I had about 4 weeks of pretty strict movement restrictions to make sure the leads were healed into place.
