How many radiation sessions are you having for whole breast cancer radiation for a triple negative breast cancer following a lumpectomy?

I'm heading off to Portland tomorrow to see two daughters and my grandchildren. The day i finished radiation I came home and started screaming in happiness so loudly that it scared my cats and they wouldn't come out to eat! I was told something very interesting by my chemo nurse today. She said that lab tests showed i was very low in Vit. D3. She said cancer patients tend to be. She herself had breast cancer and was told to take it. Her rateBlood D3 went way up. She said it's also supposed to help prevent cancer.

That is interesting, I tend to be deficient even with supplements, and hours outside every day. My oncologist said because I live in the Pacific Northwest there just isn’t enough sun. You couldn’t prove it by me this year. 🥵. Lol

I am looking for whole breast radiation closer to home. I have metaplastic squamous cell carcinoma, triple negative, grade 2 stage 3, clear margins with a lumpectomy and a clear sentinel node. The recommendation from Mayo radiation oncologist was 4 weeks with a boost the last 5 days.

My situation is very similar to your treatment and your physical state with triple negative. I had 4weeks, 5 days a week. Last 4 days were done as boosters.
