Interesting thought, I did have chicken pox as a child so that might be part of the reason I have GD. I am pretty sure that the Shingrix vaccine was the motivation for it.

Shingles is caused by the chicken pox vaccine that lays dormant in your spine and later can cause shingles. It’s the same exact virus. Not related to, the same virus. Like with herpes 1&2, it lays dormant until it re-emerges. That’s why whenever your immune system is compromised, you’re more likely to get an outbreak.
