Tdrell, Thanks for that info! Is it too much trouble to locate the guidelines given for future scanning so we can share those with our doctors? I was planning on asking my doc to order a CT scan for me to compare with earlier ones when I go back in the next 4 - 6 weeks and would like to have that information before calling if you still have it. Thanks so much! Linda

The other option is the one I took - I just take baths now. No more showers! I'm good as long as I don't drink my bath water! 🙂 Linda

True that!

Hi Ruth, when you scroll down to where the 'unsubscribe' option is; have
you tried clicking on that and it still doesn't remove you? I have a few I'd
like to unsubscribe from on Connect also. Let me know how you did it when you
figure it out. Thanks! Terri M.

Ruth, come think of it, I did get myself removed from one of the Connect
Depts that way. Scroll to the bottom of any of our posts and you should see the
option in highlighted blue to 'Unsubscribe'.

Linda, I keep saying that I am going to take only baths, but........they
are time consuming. I am so exhausted most of the time that I just want a quick
fix. Yes, I am bad. Will work on that. Terri M.

From my File Cabinet .. Hugs to all! Katherine (p.s. started taking one "Jet Alert" 200mg caffeine! https://smile.amazon.com/Alert-Double-Strength-Size-90ct/dp/B001QVCSZC/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1496531684&sr=8-1&keywords=jet+alert

Have NOT passed it by my doctor yet .. BUT it has gotten me out of my chair for a few hours the past two days .. YEAH!! I don't like coffee .. so what is the difference?! Plus I am not coughing as badly at night the past few night so am sleeping better!)

BATH VERSUS SHOWER https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4584274/ One hypothesis is that this increased prevalence is related to the change in our hygiene habits from bathing to showering [17]. This was further supported by a study in Japan which investigated the distribution of MAC in domestic households. MAC was only recovered from bathrooms but not from other sites of residences and the prevalence of detection in the bathrooms of patients with pulmonary MAC was significantly higher than that in healthy volunteers’ bathrooms .[18]. Your question. I found this source .. interesting! Definitely .. Japanese are know to LOVE their "deep steeping bath tubs"! When I was in Japan it was a real delight just to lie back in those REALLY deep bath tubs and absoluely luxuriate .. heavenly!! Hope that helps! Hugs! Katherine

From my File Cabinet per Colleen. Hugs to all! Katherine

I believe the soaking of our parts is 30 minutes ladies!!!

Terri, I think I'm in and out of the tub faster than I was the shower. I run the water while I'm picking out my clothes to wear. I don't fill the tub high so once I'm ready, I just get in, clean up, shave and I'm out. I was grumbling when I made the change but now I actually like it. Linda

Katherine, I don't blame you for doing your 'Jet Alert'. I occasionally
take 5mg of adderall to get myself off of the couch. As long as you do not have
heart issues or hypertension some drs believe it to be ok. They only fear folks
will abuse it and keep raising their dose. I had one doc at Mayo say absolute do
not take any; and then another doc at Mayo said that mg wouldn't hurt.  I
have a local doc who believes it helps chronically ill people to have a better
quality of life. I measured my quality of life with and without it, it is def
better on it. My oxygen levels are higher while on it also, I presume because it
gives me strength to move my breathing muscles. I am NOT advocating this for
others.
