Heat Intolerance: Symptom of Neuropathy?

Posted by kyc117 @kyc117, Sep 7, 2020

So I am waiting to get my diagnosis, but does anyone else feel odd after being out in the heat for a period of time? I love gardening this weekend was watering for about 20 minutes in the sun. I just felt weird afterwards, symptoms I can't explain. Sweat will just roll down my face, this never happened with me before.I love to take hot showers and one time I felt somewhat ill afterwards. I just feel I can't be out in the heat anymore.

In my 30 years of mgt I learned a mantra I tried to live by. Assume Good Intent. If someone doesn’t respond (or whatever the scenario might be is) I reach out again with good intent. Who knows what anyone might be going through in there lives. Thanks for trying to achieve the best you you can be!

Absolutely agree. My heart keeps overrideing my brain! I will work on it.

I do feel a bit nauseous and slightly dizzy, none of the breathing heavy though. I just have to lay down for a bit and then feel better. Thank you for responding.

@avmcbellar Hi I'm Lioness ,Linda I too came from Pa now living in CA what a challenge and adjustment but I'm out of the high humidity like back east Now our humidity is no higher then 50 but varies with weather With the fires here it's single digits

Hi @lioness you are right. Lower humidity makes a BIG difference in feeling temperatures! Has the climate In CA helped with your health? Some people can’t tolerate certain climates. For cases of arthritis or asthma making a climate change helps. In Australia during the summer the humidity was very low. The high temperatures were much tolerable due to the low humidity. Except for the high humidity, Florida reminds me of Australia with the palm trees and no snow. Someday I will travel back to Australia. Both my husband and I have lived in foreign countries and plan to return. In the meantime, we enjoy traveling throughout the USA to visit some family including Colorado and Arizona. I see Arizona has an even lower humidity than CA. Our daughters have visited the west coast......beautiful country! Nice to hear from you! FYI... I have sent you a post through another topic. Wish you well!

You are more than welcome. I know the feeling so it warms my heart to know that I could help in that way.

When I struggle with feeling that way, I turn to my faith and remember that I am made in the image of God. "Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness..." Genesis 1:26 and especially that I am a child of the King!

I pray that you are having a day that is much much better than tolerable!
Warmest regards and many blessings, Sunny flower

@lioness you can’t beat it all but having better control of your arthritis and less pain is worth it. Moisturizing is good for the body regardless. I know I need to do more of that. I agree. No snow is great! I had gotten tired from all the shoveling up north not to mention the driving. I don’t mind the weeding in Florida during the cooler months. It is so peaceful. I try to do some gardening.

I know that feeling VERY well ladies. I had it for much of the time during my youth and young adulthood. I was a lost little puppy until age 23. My dear Bustrbrwn, I did not even know the meaning of the word love before then. It makes for a very sad existence. My dear, you do matter. It has nothing to do with me, it has nothing to do with Sunny, or anyone. You matter, and I mean BIG matter. Period. Your friend, Hank

How come every other post I write sounds like a sermon. Sorry, I don't seem to know how to express myself otherwise.

Thanks. It was much needed. I have had a non stop panic attack since 11 am. I look forward every day to taking my melatonin and passing out. I know I take way too much but I can only deal with one issue at a time.

@avmcbellar I use to have a big vegetable garden when married . Our son was allergic to dyes so taught myself how to can . It was nice in winter just went to cellar and got something and better for you . He still is a vegetarian . Didn't enjoy driving in it either as my work took me to different places. So nice to meet you . Take care
