Heat Intolerance: Symptom of Neuropathy?
So I am waiting to get my diagnosis, but does anyone else feel odd after being out in the heat for a period of time? I love gardening this weekend was watering for about 20 minutes in the sun. I just felt weird afterwards, symptoms I can't explain. Sweat will just roll down my face, this never happened with me before.I love to take hot showers and one time I felt somewhat ill afterwards. I just feel I can't be out in the heat anymore.

Hi John, I used CBD for about a year and a half under the Tx plan of Dr. Alan Frankel. I made my own caps. I want to tell my experience so will asap. Hope you're well and on top of your pain. All the best, Sunnyflower
John, I followed your links but do not see where I can start a new discussion. I know how now but don't see the option. The only option I see is to reply to a post on the Neuropathy Medications CBD posts. I don't see the little reddish field that the tutorial instructed to click on. Help! Thanks, Sunny
Hi @sunnyflower -- Scroll to the top of any discussion and click the group link. That takes you to the list of all of the discussions within a group. If this is the group that you want to create a new discussion under then click the START A DISCUSSION button under the group description. If you want to start a discussion in a different group, go to the Groups link at the top of any Connect page and select Group Directory to locate the group where you want to start a new discussion. Easy peasy, right? 🙂
John, sit down. I actually got it! My phone however, does not have the capability. Moral of story, use my tablet. Now, I have to see if I can begin a new discussion in the subject I want such as CBD. Oy. Hope you're having a good day and that your eyes aren't burning from being online so often. How many hours and days would you say you're on Connect? I'm on way more than I should be for my eyes, body parts and time but am compelled to answer folks, welcome newbys, etc. I've had to cut back on that and know I'm behind on new people and a lot of people's stories. I feel awful about it but I really have to. Do you have any tips or suggestions for me as to achieve a good balance on a blog? I'm so new at this. Thanks so much John, you are the best! Blessings, Sunnyflower
John, I went to the CBD oil for pain link. I don't see how to start a new discussion from there other than to scroll down and reply somewhere in the discussion thread that is already going on. Is this correct? Just try to pick one of the posts and reply? Thanks and sorry to have to ask another question.
Tips, suggestions 🙂 I read Connect posts on my phone but that's about it. All my other Connect work is done on a computer, it's much easier. A tablet probably wouldn't be too bad if you had an attached keyboard. I have an iPad with a keyboard which works OK but a computer is still better hands down.
Hi @sunnyflower, you can't create a discussion within a discussion. You have to go to a Groups main page where it lists all of the discussions within the specific group like Neuropathy, Chronic Pain, etc. Here's the Groups Directory page - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/groups/. Also, it's probably a good idea to look through the list of groups to make sure you aren't creating a duplicate which will make it more confusing and harder to bring everyone together for a single topic.
Thx John. I'm in bed so much that my computer, Gladys, is too heavy and takes up my entire bed tray. My MS Surface Tablet, Mildred, is what I use mostly. But, the tip I was mainly talking about is how to achieve a balance on the blog. I have come to recognize I can't be as active as I want and need to quit worrying that I'm neglecting anyone or their posts. It's impossible not to! Again, trying to be perfect. That gets me in so much trouble! I'm just compelled to fluff up everyone's world and make them feel validated, cared about and comforted. My limitations are so great. I have to RELINQUISH. Maybe this should be in the mental health section. Oh my. So yes, if you have any tips that way, b/c you are really present for everyone, please send them my way! Balance on a blog that is. Again, thanks so much John. Your input is so valuable. Forgive if you've already commented on this aspect of my request. I've heard I'm getting quite a few emails since beginning to type this. Talk later, Sunnyflower
Yes, I get that and agree. However, I don't know where to post my experience w/ CBD. I do not see an option to begin a new discussion in the existing thread of posts. That appears to be my only option. To pick a post that is closest to what I would say. Yes??? Sunnyflower
In my 30 years of mgt I learned a mantra I tried to live by. Assume Good Intent. If someone doesn’t respond (or whatever the scenario might be is) I reach out again with good intent. Who knows what anyone might be going through in there lives. Thanks for trying to achieve the best you you can be!
