I just started bloating and it makes me look pregnant. Please help!

I am 33 years old, never been pregnant nor am I pregnant. I am on my period at the moment. Last night I had a severe BM that caused me to lose my hearing and sight at the time, cold sweats, almost fainting (thus the loss of senses). It caused me to throw up a lot. I end up sitting on the toilet for an hour trying to get the hard poop out before diarrhea starts, usually the latter causes the pain and feeling of faint and cokd sweats to disappear, this time it took hours and I ended up in the bath tub with a few of passing out (I didn't want to pass out on the toilet). Now today I have had severe cramps and pain in my lower abdomen and massive bloating there as well causing me to look pregnant (about 7 months along so it is quite extended but it is centered more so a few inches under my waist line). I have never had that bad of a BM during or near that time of month (I have had a smaller version which includes the cold sweats and the feeling faint but not to that extent, which to me has become a normal thing). I have seen a gyno in the past, was in a hospital Nov 2019 where they checked out my uterus. No endometriosis then nor at my gyno. On paper I am a healthy 33 year old (minus PTSD and a severe concussion with all those side effects, yay me). So this is new to me. Nothing has changed in my eating habits nor medication. If anyone has any advice as to help with the bloating please post. After I was finished passing everything in my system from both ends last night I did place a hot pad on my stomach and uterus but then today it doesn't look nor feel as if it did anything. Please! I need help.

It may be a GI (Gastrointestinal) issue that just happens to coincide with your period?🤷🏻‍♀️ I’d check with someone about it in GI area. Doesn’t hurt to ask the questions from a few different places.

That is what I forgot to add. I had a colonoscopy both upper and lower back in April due to massive bouts of diarrhea or severe constipation (THAT was a side effect of an anxiety medication of which I since stopped). The colonoscopy came back clear.
I was put on GERD and stomach acid medication but I have been great since June. I never had what I have now.

@amjl81- Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. We are patients and everyday folks helping others just like you. It sounds like this is pretty scary and uncomfortable. Did you call your doctor when you lost your hearing and sight? Perhaps you squeezed too hard? But the loss of sight might indicate something more serious. How are you today?
I'm wondering if you have changed your diet lately or added a new medication? Might you be Whey intolerant?

No new medication, no change in diet, not whey intolerant. It was in the middle of the night and the hearing and eyesight happened before I started pushing as did the almost passing out. I was asleep when the cold sweats and pain woke me up. When I was fully awake everything else started happening as I slowly (we have rescue cats and trying to walk among them) walked to the bathroom. I am still bloated, with pain, and rumbling in my gut/intestines. My gas is a noxious fumes ever since. And lots of the gas. No pain in my back, just my sides at just above my hips and the front part. But since it seems to be low and not qt my stlmach I was thinking that my intestines are swollen and sore from it. Even at times I have had versions of this that were about a third less of what happened, I never had swelling. Nor pain and vomiting. I am going to see about going to my doctor on Friday but still.

I am back at work after a month of quarqntine because of my dad. In early July he was diagnosed with colon cancer. After a scan they saw spots on his liver. So a week after they removed the colon cancer and biopsies the spot(s) on his liver and found stage 4 liver cancer. So the doctor put the household on quarantine until they had a game plan.

@amjl81- Again, I recommend contacting your doctor about your hearing, sweating, eyesight, and I wouldn't wait. Those symptoms are alarming to me. And they should be to you, as well.

Oh trust me. I am extremely alarmed by everything that transpired.

Can we NOT focus on the loss of eyesight and vision? Everything is from the massive pain and bm. That is what I need advice on.

Well with the massive pain and bm you should go see a doctor. Because obviously something is not right. It is worth making the phone call and at least getting the nurses’s line so they can help tell you if you need to come in or not. If you are a patient at Mayo, you can always use the patient portal and message any of your doctors and they can also tell you if this warrants and in house visit. If it’s a lot of pain like you say, it’s worth going in or calling and having it be nothing, than to do nothing and it’s something worse. Just call. In the end better safe, than sorry.

Just to let you know.......I have endometriosis and I’m also one that has always had bad cramps and heavy bleeding anyway when the endo is not present. And when it finally started festering in me, I was clueless. I didn’t notice any trouble with BMs or really have much for cramps or brushed off the cramping because I always had bad cramps. Finally had an ultrasound, had a cyst the size of a softball. So yeah, something needed to be done eventually, but since I didn’t think I was having other problems, we let it go. Fast forward to me sitting the doc office crying in pain, the doc said well you will need surgery to remove the cyst, and I was asked if I thought I could wait a week or two......uh, no! Found out after surgery my cyst had become the size of a 2 liter bottle of pop! And it also engulfed and snuffed my one ovary. So, my point of my story is you never know and it’s okay to call and ask anyway and be seen anyway because things just manifest in bodies out of nowhere, even post surgery and post exams. I wish you the best and I hope you are able to find out what’s happening. And may these posts give you the confidence to call and keep asking questions and not be afraid to seek answers.

I would seek medical attention, either urgent care or ER if you cannot get through to your primary. More tests can be run at the ER to see what is going on though.
