Visual Escapes and Daily Inspirations: Share Yours
Let's create a space to offer a daily reprieve.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of uncertainty and fear into our lives. Some of that fear and uncertainty can be caused by over thinking what is going on or unnecessarily worrying. So, I'm making sure I wash my hands frequently, not touching my face, staying away from social gatherings and all of the recommended guidelines to help avoid getting or spreading COVID-19 but it can be a little boring. I try to not watch news all day long while I'm in this self imposed captivity. I like to take pictures of birds and other creatures from my window as a welcome break.
I invite you to join me in sharing pictures, favorite poems, sayings, mottos, funny moments. Let's take a daily break together.

Hope your day is well...another shot of the flowers
My little chicks are doing great... growing & trying to fly!! :0 Enjoy
Let’s try that again....
@livlovlaff7 How cute they are . How many do you have at one time. Are you on a farm or just a home in country? Our neighbors did raise them for there use not to sell. I lived in the rural area and we had 1 domino chicken she gave us 550 eggs before our dog got a hold of her . My husband kept count . In the winter she molted and I had to put a heater in her building .
@robbie1956 so pretty . Are those the azaleas ? Nice plants anyhow
@lioness....I believe that they are...the pink ones look like the ones by by front door, not sure about the pretty red ones....they were planted along part of the walk trail by someone in the association....but thanks...and what I saw today on the Webcams at OC were discouraging.....lots of folks wearing no masks,,
As well as at the mall that I drove by this afternoon....our local mall is open and Macy’s ( I saw people entering with no masks)...I guess they are not required).....
@livlovlaff7 Thank you for sharing these pics. My neighbor had a man cave in the country and my 2 grands and I loved his taking us on tours of his prize winning chicks. We had no idea so much care was involved in hatching and raising them. Not sure the boys had actually made the connection before going that this is how eggs and chicken nuggets appeared on our dinner tables! Smiles He also had goats and watching the adorable antics of the kids was entertainment at its best. These babies look off to a very good start!
so glad you all enjoyed my little baby chicks! We have 18 Pure Pullets. I’ve had to give the smallest one a lot of extra TLC. He/she just wasn’t drinking enough water 💦. After an hour of Watering & feeding mash through a tiny syringe- no needle, of course- he began to perk up. He was severely dehydrated. He is doing really well to date.
We have a 53 acre farm. Just horses, chicks & a small indoor Yorkie dog. 🙂 We love ❤️ every minute here. We are building a nice chicken coop for them. My husband is purchasing more lumber today, to finish it. I will send more pics... Have a great day! Enjoy!
@livlovlaff7 ovlaf Chicks are the cutest things. I was raised on a farm and in the spring we got new chicks, but ours were all yellow. Yours must be a different breed. Then they grew up to be chickens. We had chickens in part of our closed off barn and another hen house. I got to gather the eggs feed and water them. I hated when I saw the hens pick on another hen. I wish now I had tried to save the poor thing. When I was a little girl I loved the little chicks, but I also liked the baby new born pigs. Go ahead and laugh. Really they were cute. And then they grew up.
@lioness Wow. I have never seen a snow owl. It's beautiful. Thankyou lioness
