Left Bundle Branch Block
The past 7 years I have dealt with serious health issues, cervical fusion, RA, Barrett’s Esophagus with dysplasia, CSF leak from ruptured peri neural cysts, major spinal surgery to treat the leaks. I continue to have right sided pressure. In June I failed a pre-op EKG. I was diagnosed with LBBB. I have seen a cardiologist who advised “wait and watch.” He prescribed no medication. My pulse ranges from 39 to 112, O2 sats 89-96. Some days are OK and I stay in the high 40s - 105. I struggle to be active, but my “active” is a far cry from myself 7 years ago. I will see the cardiologist in 4 weeks. I want to treat the LBBB; it’s exhausting. Any advice is welcome.

@andib Your ejection fraction is a number that should be on your echo report. It might just say: "EF". If you have a copy of the echo report (or if you can get one off of the patient portal) take a look and see what it says.
How did you do ? Are you only on meds for this? I was just diagnosed and going through the testing now
My Echo is next week.
I am inquiring if anyone had a medical stress test as part of the LBBB work up? It is part of a PET Scan

I've had a diagnosis of LBBB for well over 25 years now. I take it this must be a new diagnosis for you? Have you previously had heart problems prior to this diagnosis?
I'll be glad to share more about my own experiences. However, from the cardiologists I have seen, I get the impression that this is not a serious diagnosis. What have you been told?

1 ReactionHello, yes this a new diagnosis. A little nervous because I have 2 family members with pacemakers, I am not sure if this is genetic. Dr upped my BP meds and ordered Holter, Echo, and a PET dress test
I have appointments for these, however, since my BP med was increased, I do feel better.
My EKG in December was normal and not showing LBBB
I just replied, I don’t where the post went to??

1 Reaction@sharonp51 It would be good to wait until you have the other tests and see what the results are. It does sound like your doctor is following up with good diagnostic tests in order to get a picture of your heart functioning. It may not be anything serious and it is always best not to cross any bridges until you come to them. You said that a BP dose was increased and that you feel better. Which BP drug was this?
You mentioned that your follow up tests are scheduled already. Will they be done in the next few weeks?

1 ReactionHi. The medication is Lisinopril. I have had 1 follow up test and awaiting the other 2. I feel much better with the increase in Lisinopril. Hoping that’s all I need. !
