Timing of HRT, anastrozole - taking day or night?

Posted by trixie1313 @trixie1313, Mar 7, 2019

I've seen many messages about anastrozole, but does anyone prefer to take this in the morning or evening? I'm wondering if side effects are less via day or night?

That's what I was thinking - I haven't started the pills yet as I'm a bit afraid of all the side effects that everyone has mentioned, but my hubby told me to just try it and see how it goes. Even the oncologist says we can trade for another one if this fails.

@trixie1313 - remember Trixie, not everyone experiences the difficult side effects. I was symptom free for the 1st year. Give it a try and good luck!

@karendb - hi Karen, I’ve been on Arimidex for about 1 1/2 years.

Thank you buckimom. You have given me hope. I started taking mine on Monday and so far so good.

I take mine at bedtime along with Gabapentin which helps with sleep & hot flashes.

I started taking it in the mornings but felt it made me very tired during the day. Switched to 8:00 PM and feel that agrees with me now.

Anyone taking anastrozole having headaches? I just started last night and woke up with a terrific headache that is still going on 4 hours later. Also had soaking night sweats but am used to having those via years of having after surgical menopause and then with chemo.

Can you eat grapefruit and oranges with anastrozole?
