Recipes, Food Tips, Healthy Eating & More

Some of the members of the Gratitude Discussion Group were interested in having a place to share recipes and food ideas. I’m hoping that we can use this thread as a place to have that kind of discussion. I’d love to hear your ideas for quick meals, comfort food, healthy snacks, and more.

Personally, I’ve just been through a bad reaction to one of my medications that left me with a very queasy stomach. I would love to hear ideas – or recipes – that might be used when you need to get something on your stomach, but don’t want to overdo it.

Hopefully, this thread will even be a place where we can share recipes for special treats and yummy rewards. It doesn’t always have to be healthy!

I’d love to hear from members who have been part of other discussions AND from new members who have good ideas, recipes and food tips to share. I’m excited to see who might start us off here with an awesome food suggestion!

@lioness- Thank you. what is lunch days me pepper? I'll have to leave out the cayenne as I can't take a lot of heat. Sounds yummy. I'm thinking of making golden milk in a double batch or triple so I don't have to make it everyday. What do you think?

Bagel seasoning has both black and white sesame seeds, poppy seeds, garlic flakes, onion flakes and sea salt flakes. I have heard that they make a no salt bagel seasoning but have not tried it. If you goggle it, it comes up with ways of making the seasoning at home.

@merpreb What kind of protein powder do you use? This sounds interesting.

@harriethodgson1 I am really looking forward to making your soup myself, maybe this week if it continues to be cool here. I love soup in the cool weather, and your recipe sounds so easy.

I need the children’s version of “Cooking for Dummies” cookbook. I doubt I could cook like a pro with my “Get it done and out of kitchen” attitude.
Hope you find some delicious recipes. I’m fortunate to have such good friends who invite me over and come and cook for me.

@jakedduck1 Ina really explains everything well, so she makes it easy. I am sure there must be a "cooking for Dummies" cookbook though. If there is that might be a good book for you to get.
My daughter and her husband just left so now I can hang up my cooking utensils. The good thing is that there are enough leftovers to be tomorrow night's dinner.
