Recipes, Food Tips, Healthy Eating & More

Some of the members of the Gratitude Discussion Group were interested in having a place to share recipes and food ideas. I’m hoping that we can use this thread as a place to have that kind of discussion. I’d love to hear your ideas for quick meals, comfort food, healthy snacks, and more.

Personally, I’ve just been through a bad reaction to one of my medications that left me with a very queasy stomach. I would love to hear ideas – or recipes – that might be used when you need to get something on your stomach, but don’t want to overdo it.

Hopefully, this thread will even be a place where we can share recipes for special treats and yummy rewards. It doesn’t always have to be healthy!

I’d love to hear from members who have been part of other discussions AND from new members who have good ideas, recipes and food tips to share. I’m excited to see who might start us off here with an awesome food suggestion!

Yes it is. I’m not sure where you live but if you have a Trader Joe’s it’s way less expensive then Hy-Vee here in Iowa. I was also going to reply to you about the new air fryer you get Mon.....if you use frozen veggies, you need to cut the time down from what the booklet tells you. I have the one you are getting and the veggies that take 8-12 minutes are for like fresh raw Brussels sprouts or green beans. Also use bagel seasoning with a spritz of olive oil when you use the air fryer. Any questions please Holler at me!

“Any questions please Holler at me!” You may eat those words!!! I’ll try not to bug you too much. I live in California. The two season state. We do have a Trader Joe’s here. I go there for no sodium added tuna. Really looking forward to the air fryer which is surprising since I detest anything to do with the kitchen.

Bagel seasoning has both black and white sesame seeds, poppy seeds, garlic flakes, onion flakes and sea salt flakes. I have heard that they make a no salt bagel seasoning but have not tried it. If you goggle it, it comes up with ways of making the seasoning at home.

Yes, that’s exactly what it is! It’s also very good on fish. I take a bake potatoe and dice it up. Take a price of foil out and put a couple swags of olive oil on the foil, place diced potatoes on oil. Season with bagel seasoning and I also put a dap of butter on top of the potatoes, place fish on top of butter and season with bagel seasoning and a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime on top of fish. Wrap foil into a bundle and grill for 20 minutes. OMG, it’s fantastic!!!!
