My stomach is round and bloated, and it makes me look pregnant
I have been having problems with my stomach for quite a while now.
My stomach is always round and bloated ,as if i am pregnant.
I have pain most days and have severe cramps and vaginal muscle cramps/contractions during my period. I also bleed a lot.
I eat healthy, take multivitamins and drink water and no sodas or fruit drinks just fruits and veggies. I know most people have flatter stomachs even those who don't eat as well as me.
I have done research and have come to some conclusions that could fit. I think i might have a uterine fibroid or cyst, something that is making my stomach big.
I also have ugly stretchmarks even though i have never been pregnant and am not pregnant, but at times it looks like it.
If anyone has anything similar or knows anything,i would really appreciate the feedback.

@charmone Is there some type of clinic you could go to where you can get medical care based on your resources? I really hope you do get some medical care for this.

If you have ascites, it is fluid buildup in your peritoneal cavity. The remedy is to have the fluid removed by a doctor. No amount of dieting is going to help your stomach. Go to a gastrointestinal doctor.
Hello @gab002 and welcome to Mayo Connect.
I am sorry to hear of all of your discomfort and inability to find an answer or a cure for it. Many of us on Connect have had hard to diagnose problems and we understand the frustration. While you wait for others to respond to your post: If you are comfortable sharing more, before the problems that you said started six months ago, had you previously had other digestive tract problems or surgeries, such as gallbladder removal, etc.? Do certain foods and/or activities make your symptoms worse? Have you lost much weight due to these problems? Does exercise make these symptoms worse or better?
Have you tried the FODMAP dietary program yet? Since it was suggested by your doctor, it might be worth a try.
Hello!
I've had some gastritis/esophagitis periodically in the past. Some of the pain I have now is also in my chest through to my back which was there before I had my gallbladder out. Cardiac was ruled out at that time. I was told I have a small sliding hiatal hernia seen on Endoscopy but can't seem to correlate anything with my symptoms. Nothing seems to make it worse or better. I just started IBGuard today and a Probiotic to see if these might help. I wish I could say I've lost weight but haven't.... just maintained! It's hard to know what to try first.
Thank you!
Did they check you for Celiac disease/ Gluten sensitivity?
@gab002
I have had severe and less severe versions of your pain - esophagitis and another problem- pancreatitis.
You know how miserable it can be. I'm sorry you've experienced it also. So your diagnosis was/is Pancreatitis? What is your treatment?
No
I have been suffering for almost 6 months with upper abdominal pain (right under xyphoid process) and also chest, with terrible bloating with occasional queasiness. I've had a complete Abdominal Ultrasound, Upper Endoscopy with Biopsies for H Pylori, did the Breath tests for Lactose, Fructose and Bacteria, all of which were negative. I've been on PPI'S, Zantac, Bentyl Gas-X, etc... I'm exhausted with this and don't know what else to do. My GI Dr. is now wanting me to do a FODMOP dietary program. Others think I should take Probiotics. Any suggestions?
I just want to feel better.
Thank you
