Has anyone used CBD oil for chronic pain? And do you have results?

I'm a chronic pain suffer of 35+ years. Scoliosis is the culprit. Not a disfiguring curve but non the less painfully destructive. Almost every disc is bulging from 3mm to 6mm. I've had 2 spinal fusion. C 3-7 and L 4-5. Have 4 nerve root impengements with spondylosis in some areas and stenosis at interval from neck to sacral. Take steroid shots when I can with positive results for a few weeks. Always have Norco 5mg/325 ready if needed. Unfortunately I have found the best way to keep pain down is to lie down. So most of my days are spent on my bed. Any suggestions?

@gingerw Oh my dear, you do not have to have the “high”. Just enuf to sooth and calm....lift your spirits. Whatever combination works for you, and if you do not mix with alcohol or use on an empty tummy, you will be fine. The specialist helpers at the dispensary will guide you if you tell them what you are experiencing and what you want to avoid. I drive, play Mahjong, do yoga, and even the laundry. The THC is never an issue. I just feel relaxed and comfortable.

I take 1000 mg a day of CBD oil without THC, it also works. You all need to try this, some people need the THC to feel relief some don't, but I can walk now only because of the CBD oil. Which ever works for you with or without, it's worth it.!

@marychapman That is a bummer. California was the same way. For at least 6 months after the recreational realm began, it was almost impossible to acquire my usual medical cannabis or even substitutes. Now that all of the packaging regulations have been met, the stock is back and I can even order online and then pick up later. I can also request a call when a particular product is back in stock. They always call which makes it a lot easier. Hang in there. I understand how it can make you very anxious when nothing that you know is available.

Chris, do you mind telling me where you get it and the name brand.plz? My husband drives along way to get it for me and I haven't found anything online that works. I take 1000-1500 mg a day. If I don't have it I can't even walk. Thank you in advance. I live in MI

@rensacb I am so sorry to hear of your situation. It is one that I am in, too. I am bedridden due to arthritic knees that give me less pain when laying down, and degenerative disc disease. I also have fibro. I am like you and have less pain when lying down I am glad the shots give you some relief. I am also thinking about CBD oil for the pain and will be very interested in your outcome. Sending prayers your way! ....Karen

I've got CRPS type 2 Karen, the symptoms are alot alike it's a nerve disorder, but more painful. I m 50 years old got hurt at work 4 years ago and have been pretty much bedridden since. I was very physical before my injury at work, golf. Softball, hiking, gym, then my life changed overnight. I take CBD oil without THC, I just get stuck on stupid with it and after a while it wasn't fun anymore. But I'm walking Karen, without it, i cannot walk. My pain isn't as intense either, I teccomend trying it. I don't take opioids, they don't work!!!

@rensacb I have been using CBD oil sublingual, for about 6 months. I had to get myself in the habit of taking it. I do find there is relief for anxiety, depression, chronic pain from osteoarthritis, and fibromyalgia. When I forget, or miss a day, it's easy to tell. As I have not been on opioids cannot tell you the interaction or contraindications. I was very honest with my primary Dr plus my two main specialists, about using it.

How often do you take it ? How much per Dose? Can you describe exact process of dropping dose u dear tongue. Do you let it sit . Swallow drink or eat ?

Does CBD really work, what if you are on a bunch of other meds. I usually go in and get a steroid shot in my spine for pain but since I am also diabetic that shoots my numbers up and actually the shot isn't doing all that much. I have just heard about rhizotomy burn . Has anyone had that done, is it helpful and beneficial to have it done...…. About the CBD how do you know how much to take or does your dr. help with that...…. thanks,

I do use CBD for fibromyalgia--it is a subtle adjunct to OTC meds, needs to be used regularly at first to build up in your body to see if it helps. Good luck!

How long and how many times before you felt that it took the inflammation down a notch Peggy.I take it but intermittently I don't think it works but maybe I should do it on a more regualr basis. I was doing the drops,how much and how often is good ?
