Shingles and Postherpetic Neuralgia and Pain
Has anyone suffered from LONG lasting neuropathic pain as a result of Shingles, and what treatment do you use for the pain? My daughter had shingles at 21, a spinal cord stimulator inserted and removed, many trigger point injections, all of which may have contributed to the thoracic pain she has. She is now 34, and teaches yoga, but is still on a compound prescribed by a pain management Dr. in NYC what is basically Oxy. I am paying for this, since neither she nor her husband can afford it at around $500 a month. She could not find a physician in Fl. I know who would prescribe this medication after 10 years, thus the use of an out of state physician. I do not want to see her suffer, nor can I discuss much with her since we barely speak, but this expense, coupled with paying for asthma inhalers that are expensive is becoming more and more of a strain. Any thoughts for alternatives are appreciated.

bunny[ please don't give up. It has to work for you like it has me. All of us are different and will probably get different results, but I so pray you will get the relief you are wanting and needing. I do find if I miss more then 2 days I do get some pain back and it takes a few treatments to reset my results. Praying for you.
Thanks so much Jerid, I desperately want this to work so will definitely keep trying🙏 As you know, this pain is almost unbearable so I am not giving up as it is about the only thing left for me to try😢. Thank you for your prayers and I will keep you posted on my progress❤️🐰
Have you seen any difference as of yet? How severe are your pains? Mine were intense and it sounds like yours are as well. Maybe do two 3 minutes treatments 2 or 3 times a day. I hesitate in anymore than 2 because it is on my head and forehead. I don't need to fix my pain and then loose my marbles. LOL I know they said it is safe, but it doesn't hurt to be cautious. A friend is visiting and she has TMJ from dental surgery and it gives her immediate relief. Lucky lady. She has also been using it on tired muscles and is getting immediate relief. I really want this to work for you and Hanks wife.
@jerid
Thanks for you good wishes Jeri. I do have hope and will do 3 weeks for sure. I did time it yesterday and it is about 5 minute periods. Seems odd that Bunny's time period is 3 minutes. Why would that be the case? Bunny I would email and ask them if I were you.
I know so I have been doing 3 x’s 3 treatments twice a day for 9 mins each time! Still not getting the pain relief but will keep at it. Will look to see if I can email them about the timer. It is made in Israel! We have timed it several times and it is only 3 mins. Hope your wife is starting to improve🙏
OMG! Guess what? The whole time my husband had been doing this on my back and nothing was working and the treatment was only 3 minutes was because he had never turned it on after the first turn on at your hand😳 Came to Florida and my friend started the treatment on me and we had a red light flashing during the 5 minute treatment!!! Unbelievable, we had never even had it turned fully on so of course nothing was working🥴. I now have new hope that I may get some good results and pain relief🙏 My friend said she will be happy to do the treatments for me while in Florida as she has seen my suffering for almost 3 years now👏👏👏 What a dumb mistake but hopefully now on the right path🙏🙏😊😊
@bunnyp
Well I can sort of understand that mistake. The whole hocus pocus about holding it in your palm is never explained as to why it's needed. I did it but did not know why. Some people need to know why before they will take something seriously so I blame the manufacturer as much as your husband. Glad you figured it out. On Wed. we started the 2nd week and thus changed the setting as instructed to 50 from variable. Linda sometimes says she feels something happening but so far no pain relief. 12 more days until 3 weeks is up, then we will decide. Best to you bunnyp and good luck pressing forward with this. Hank
Thanks Hank! I checked on my Amazon order and it said returns or exchange would be good until Jan. 31, 2021 for my order so I would assume yours would be also since we ordered them around the same time🤔. Would like to be able to try it more than one month so may just give them a call to verify! Praying for good results now that we have officially turned it on correctly 😂😂😂🙏🙏🙏🙏
@bunnyp
Yes, you are absolutely correct on that. I have not seen that previously, where the return date is over 30 days. I just noticed that it is the same with all the stuff I have bought lately.
Just read online:
In anticipation of customers shopping early for the holidays, we have temporarily extended the return window of our returns policy. The Amazon Extended Holiday Return Policy for 2020 requires that most orders delivered between October 1 and December 31 be returnable through January 31, 2021.

Wow, that's too bad you made that mistake. At least you have realized it. Sorry I don't respond more often, but I am not on every day. I had a friend visit and she used it on her TMJ, I may have mentioned this, and she swore by it. It continues to work for me. I do use it everyday that I remember. The days I forget is because I either have no pain or so little I don't notice it compared to my level of pain prior to our purchase. I have recharged it once and I had no problem. I plugged it in before bed and it was all charged the next morning. It continues to work for me. I know we are all different, but I can't believe it would work so well for me and not either of you. It just doesn't make sense. I keep praying that it will work for both you and Hank's wife.
