Shingles and Postherpetic Neuralgia and Pain

Posted by tikigod18 @tikigod18, Jan 13, 2019

Has anyone suffered from LONG lasting neuropathic pain as a result of Shingles, and what treatment do you use for the pain? My daughter had shingles at 21, a spinal cord stimulator inserted and removed, many trigger point injections, all of which may have contributed to the thoracic pain she has. She is now 34, and teaches yoga, but is still on a compound prescribed by a pain management Dr. in NYC what is basically Oxy. I am paying for this, since neither she nor her husband can afford it at around $500 a month. She could not find a physician in Fl. I know who would prescribe this medication after 10 years, thus the use of an out of state physician. I do not want to see her suffer, nor can I discuss much with her since we barely speak, but this expense, coupled with paying for asthma inhalers that are expensive is becoming more and more of a strain. Any thoughts for alternatives are appreciated.

I am about to recharge them, but I am on my 3rd week and have not yet had to. The original charge is lasting a long time. I use it 2x twice a day on 2 areas of my body. Will let you know.

Wow, so excited you ordered it. Please keep us posted. Where on your body, (if I may ask) were your Shingles and your now pain?

My left back/shoulder and a little under the back of my left arm! So I will be needing my husband’s help for sure! Problem is I will be out of town for 3 weeks in Nov. but maybe my friend will help me but I want to get started even if for a couple of weeks to see if I get some relief🤔. Do you think I should wait to start when I get back or is it really important to do every single day? Thanks so much for your help❤️

@bunnyp
I read the reviews and one person who tried to return it mentioned having difficulty getting their money refunded. Besides being a bit of a red flag, it is probably also an indication that you should make your decision about it within the 30 day Amazon return window rather than rely on the company's 180 day claim. Just a suggestion. I have actually ordered one as well (what the heck) and that is definitely my plan. Best, Hank

I get it you are using your cell phone as I am using my desktop. Thank you. Please keep me posted as to how you do with the cold laser light. Both you and Hank. And whoever else may use it or find a physician or clinic who treats with it. Prayers for all of you.

I would not stop the treatment once you have started it. At least give it the full 3 weeks it recommends.

My plan is not to return it at all. It has been so amazing for pain relief. I went to level 3, but decided it was a bit much for me so I am back to level 2 and feeling good. I really hope this works as good for you 2 at it has me.
