my last cd4 check was when i was admitted into mayo clinic back on oct 14th , there infectious team ran all my hiv numbers and they were fine, as i said i am not on any medication. since oct 14th i till now i have lost 20 pounds , having alot of trouble breathing . no interest in food or drink yet i for myself to eat and drink. i have presented to mayo clinic er no less than 20 times in the last few months as my symptoms have gotten worse and worse . they have run cbc panels in the er and said your numbers look good. with in the last week my breathing has become different , im having trouble swalloing, im tired but dont sleep im starting to wonder if i am at the point that i want to discontinue food and drink and it seems to not be doing much but just bying me time even tho everytime i go to mayo they say its ok. my hiv dr did order a bunch of blood work last week but they couldnt draw it there so i had to go to quest which means i wont even get any results till later this week. i did finally get tired of mayo messing around with my emotions and health so i went to an offsite urgent care place that runs simple blood tests in house and thats where i got the results my wbc was below low normal and my absolute neutrophils were below low normal. the dr say there is some type of bacterial infection going on based on your blood work. but because he isnt an hiv dr and cant run all those tests he put me on a broad spectrum antibiotic . i have been on them since friday and i dont feel any better . once i get my results for quest later this week if i can hold on that long then maybe the blood work from quest will reveal something . i even asked the er dr at mayo this week is it possible that my immune system has become so weak from fighting the hiv as well as battling the meningitis and now my hiv has gotten worse or turned into aids she said no i dont think its that your labs look fine and she sent me home, so again thats when i went to the urgent care off site because i know my body better than anyone . i have to assume if i was that ill or dying even tho mayo er didnt bother to get the hiv dr involved that if i was that bad off my blood work numbers just from a cbc would reflect something terrible if it were like end stage aids or something correct ?
