Is anyone taking a particular enzyme which allows your system to break down carbs and sugars?

@leila good ole salt & pepper
Everybody is different, that's for sure! Have you been tested for fructose malabsorption? If you have it, garlic anything wouldn't be good, nor would lentils.
Thanks for responding. I can't eat hot spices either - never could. Garlic is the worst if you have fructose malabsorption, except for possibly inulin (which isn't a spice or herb). The only olive oil without fruit juice in it (olives are a fruit) is extra virgin or extra light tasting. Getting this all sorted out is something else.
@i@lelia it really gets to be annoying at times but I am a woman of faith so I do pray a lot too. I will keep us all in prayer.
I have a doctor's appointment on the 28th and I plan to ask her to do all of those tests because I need answers. Thank you!
Thanks.
Fructose malapsorption, lactose intolerance and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth would be the best ones to start with, I think. Good luck.
Thank you, best regards!
"Sugar free" cookie recipe for the holidays. This shortbread cookie recipe originally came from Natural Grocers, but I adapted it a bit, leaving out the sugar, etc. Here are the ingredients: 1 c. almond flour (not almond meal), 1/2 tsp. salt, 4 T Pompeian Extra Light Tasting olive oil, 1 tsp. Frontier coop organic non GmO vanilla extract. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheet and set aside. Mix dry ingredients together until well combined. Mix the olive oil and vanilla extract and then add to the dry ingredients, stirring until well blended, Form the dough into walnut-sized balls and place on cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes total; cookies should be browned a bit . Remove from oven and let cool completely before removing from cookie sheet. Store in air-tight container in the refrigerator. Note: even though there is no table sugar added, almond flour has fructans in it and vanilla extract has some sugar. I was able to get away with eating one cookie a day for 3 days in a row and then had to stop. They are delicious and the first dessert I'd had in over 10 years.

1 ReactionI noticed in one of your posts you take L-glutamine. I also take that regularly, twice a day. Bulksupplements.com or nutriabio.com are good places to get it at a reasonable price. I get the L-alanine from Bulksupplements as well.
