hello, yesterday I posted a similar question (pacemaker recipients). like I wrote, I take bisoprolol (metoprolol belongs to the same group of beta blockers),
additionally to the pacemaker and Eliquis. Immediatedly after the implanation I had A-Fib's. Now 11 months later , have persistent A'Fibs, they are without symptoms. I never got propafenone..
I wonder, if a pacemaker + beta blocker is useful, therefore I posted my question. I'm glad that you also think about this combination.

I had the same kind of expirence turned out that I was able to stop it by not using wine or other alcohol-one of the triggers
Suggest u look at triggers and see if one of them are the cause.
Funny story about this. Went to local restaurant and ordered chicken marineo ( wine sautéed). Guess what the arythem started that night at one am

Has anyone ever had a cardiologist take Pacemaker Syndrome seriously or do they just look at you like you’re nuts — like they do me.

wow!!! this sounds erie to me,,, my pacemaker is 2 days old, now in afib for 2days!!

hello, a year ago I had the same experience. after the implantation of the PM, paroxysmal A-Fib's were seen., I did not feel them. after 10 months (november 2018) the atrium fibrillations were permanent. the call it a persistent A-Fib's. the cardiologist tried to be funny by saying, that I didn't need a two chamber pacemaker. I would be better off with an one chamber PM. .unfortunately the situation deteriorated, as I am suffering now from a pacemaker mediated ventriculair arhythmia (extrasystoles and tachycardia.).I hope I will get an appointment soon.
II would like to read, if there is another person with the same trouble.

Yoanne, it has been since jan. 15th the day I had the pacemaker implanted, doctor told me to stop taking atenolo and start taking 240mg of Cardizem per day, my first return visit was today and did not get to see the doc but the nurse who downloaded my pacemaker said i am now in afib 100% of the time, I actually thought I was not in afib for the last 2 days, but what do I know. very disappointing to say the least.
