How did you manage the pain side effects of Prolia?
I had prolia injection a week ago. I've developed lower back pain and severe spasms. The spasms are so bad I can hardly get out of bed or even out of a chair. Is there anything I can do or take to alleviate this awful pain.

@contentandwell Read your post about Tymlos I hope it works for you .My next Reclast isn't scheduled till Sept but the other meds are helping I can tell
I take magnesium L-threonate for better brain function. It's just 144 mg a day. Then I take 400 mg of magnesium glycinate. Yes vitamin D3 needs a bit of fat - I eat an entire avocado every night and take my vitamin D3, K2 (mk4, mk7), calcium, boron, magnesium, and just a small bit of potassium at that time. I take 6 mg of boron at every meal and before bed. I've been doing a ton of research and there are MANY people who take 120 mg of boron daily. I am not going to go that high, but I am not so concerned with going over 20 mg a day now. Anything over 20 mg has the side effect of maximizing the absorption of any estrogen. Isn't that Facebook group interesting, Sunnyflower? Sadly, I left the group because they tried to saddle me with the administrator role - they said there were several of us and there wouldn't be much to do. hahahaha, I was the only one and OMG the amount of work that was involved was mind blowing. I need to figure a way to get back into the group. I tried getting someone else to do the moderating, but nobody would respond to my pleas for help - so I just left the group. I could see no other way out.
I'm curious as to what natural supports you were taking and for how long?
@lioness You have had no bad side-effects from Reclast. People need to remember that the serious side-effects are actually quite rare but of course people who have them are the most apt to participate in forums such as this. I know a number of people on Reclast who are very happy with it and I know that after 18-24 months on Tymlos I will need to go on a maintenance drug and Reclast has been mentioned.

@contentandwell No I haven't had any side effects from the Reclast at all . But with covid put on weight ,not from Reclast 😂
@contentandwell,
When will you have your next Dexa scan to see if the new med is working?
@hopeful33250 They generally do a DEXA after you have been on Tymlos for a year. I had my last DEXA in the beginning of December. I thought I would start with Tymlos in January but things got bogged down with Medicare approval of it, and then getting it delivered from a CVS Speciality Pharmacy.
So far, so good. Last night just very mild light-headedness, but not bad.
When I was on diclofenac gel for my bursitis that was causing extreme dizziness in the morning. I had no idea what the problem was and then I researched diclofenac (same as Voltaren, diclofenac is the prescription name of it) for something else and discovered that dizziness is a rare side-effect. I stopped using the gel and no more dizziness! Too bad because it was helping with the bursitis pain. It never occurred to me that a gel I was applying to my hips could cause dizziness but those gels do get absorbed into your system.

@contentandwell AFriend told me about IcyHot Advanced a mutual friend uses it so I tried it and it gives me relieve more so then other rubs but it has to be advance kind I get it through Amazon
Thanks, @lioness.
Unfortunately I led this discussion off-track, but I appreciate your suggestion.
I am doing a lot of exercise videos and the cardio ones often contain a lot of walking/jogging in place. I don’t know if that has helped my bursitis but something has. It only bothers me at night now when I try to sleep on a side.

@parrotqueen. I never took the amount of supplements you do. However, I was very physically active at the time; eat gluten free; and supplemented with vitamins d, c, calcium, daily vit, omegas, magnesium, and biotin. The bottom dropped out on my dexa scores by the next year. I was 48.
