I completely agree with you about the influence of lobbyist for manufactures affecting what legislators consider legal or allowable. I suffer from severe Allergic Contact Dermatitis, ACD an allergic form of eczema. In middle age I became allergic to many of the legal chemicals added to our cleaning, grooming products, used to accelorate blending of material like poly/cotton, nylon, elastic, adhesives, shoes and so on and I gotten my productive life back. I have had to replace 95% of my wardrobe, all my shoes, grooming products, cleaning products and the list goes on. These chemicals are legal in the USA, or legal if used in a certain percentage considered legally safe, whereas many in Europe have been banned for years. That is because the major chemical companies use lobbyist that have enticements to get our congress and FDA to allow these toxins. Big money. I ask you why does a bottle of dish soap need to have a shelf life of a hundred years? The preservatives allowed, for example in Dawn the MI/MCI are pure poison. Sure the makers of Dawn like the fact that the batch shelf life is long, but the chemical companies have a steady market for their product. Many may not realize these chemicals and elements actually transfer though your skin and into your bloodstream. Your skin is not the barrier you imagine it. Our immune system and in my case sends out warrior "histamines" to battle these elements it perceives as toxic, trying to protect me. They have the opposite affect and raise my inflammation, thus giving me an autoimmune disease, eczema, which is chronic. Another example of lobbyist controlling congress is the tobacco industry. We all know the lobbyist win. Still the general public is becoming more aware. The toxic MI/MCI had been removed voluntarily from Cottonelle personal wipes and many baby wipes over 2 years ago. I like to think the letters I have written have have helped as I am sure many others have written to product makers also. Many wondered why babies were getting blistering bottom rashes, it was the toxic ingredients in these products, especially the MI/MCI. Babies were better off in the old days when we used a wash cloth or cloth diaper to clean off their bottoms. I have had great success on my skin using a bar soap made just like women did for centuries. Just 2 ingredients, lard and lye. Scary to read that lye is in it? Yes, but the lye is transformed into glycerin during the soap making process so you are only in contact with lard and glycerin. I use my Grandma's Lye soap, a bar soap for face and body exclusively and as a shampoo also. Available on Amazon (I have no financial interest in Grandma's, just grateful for their safe product so I don't have to try to make my own safe soap and shampoo). The shampoo works best with soft water. No more dry itchy skin in need of toxic moisturizers and no more itchy scalp. Just read what is in your grooming products, then search out the meaning and side effects of all the chemical and weird 15 letter word ingredients. The lights will come on. Many on this site have other autoimmune diseases, as I do. Once you have one autoimmune disease you are incline to get others, so if you can take precautions start now.

tikigod18, re: strains of CBD, I decided that, the cost and lack of knowledge of plants, and especially the pain relief factor, or lack, made no sense for me to purchase, tylenol worked better (side effects notwithstanding) so a trial of the Kratom is next, thanks

OK, no pushing or promoting here! If you ever have questions, please feel free to ask. If I sound like a missionary, it's because I have found something that can relieve my pain that is legal, not addicting, and allows me to function fairly normally and I like to let people know it is out there. Certainly not for everyone though!

@gardeningjunkie: Interesting and common story. My daughter-in-law went into the hospital for torn meniscus surgery, and came home with staph, and a pic line, and almost died. I hate even visiting someone in a hospital!

@gardenjunkie. You are so right I try to use naturel cleaners mainly vinegar ,baking soda ,salt when our son was born right away we found he was allergic to dyes ,oerservtives they put in food so we put in Garden and I canned everything I still can something s Im 75 .

How to sensibly buy LEGAL cbd oil? Because I got a letter saying customs has confiscated my package two times already and I’m pissed.

@jennie74: That is so odd. CBD is sold at my local health food store. Lazarus has the least expensive quality product. Facebook has several groups focused specifically on CBD with verified vendors.

jennie74, I am surprised about the confiscation of CBD oil, I ordered my first order on line about 3 months ago and it was sent to MO. Do you live in a state where it is banned? If it isn't too personal would you share what state that is. I ordered from CBDistillery, they have a good website which explains the different types of oil, how to use and what many find is an adequate dose. Although I use less than recommended. Also visiting in Mississippi I bought a bottle, it was sold in a "head shop". My sister ordered online and it was sent to Idaho.

How is your son doing today? Did he develop more allergies as he grew up? I understand changing our lifestyle to help a helpless child. Unlike your son's chemical allergies, my youngest had such severe food allergies the only thing he could safely eat from about 6 months of age for several years was meat or chicken, pure protein. I gave him vitamins but feared his growth would be stunted. Of course I would try to add other foods like rice and vegetables and gradually he improved, but with serious relapses. They didn't call it allergies then, they told me he didn't make digestive juices to digest food other than protein. The doctors also told me most kids would outgrown this in time. Of course your sons chemical allergies will only get worse with each exposure, his allergies are chronic like mine. I feared my son would never be able to go to school because of his explosive diarrhea. Below the age of 3 if eating the wrong foods, diarrhea every 15 minutes. My husband would say we should have bought stock in the company that made Desitin bottom ointment as we bought a jar every week because of his issues and must have made them rich. Yet at age 4 he began improving and by school age was in good shape, not perfect but he could control his bowels 99% of the time. He grew to be 6'3", high school championship water polo goalie with a full tuition scholarship to a CA university. Still no dairy today, but at age 45, other than greater than average gas issues if he cheats on food he is fine. He has blessed me with 5 grandchildren! I'm writing this to encourage other food allergy suffers that they can lead a normal life if they work at it. Believe me everything I gave him was made from scratch!
