@emmanual-sort you,'ll have to ask your Dr.about this
@emanuel_zorg, welcome to Mayo Connect. I think the answer from Lioness is important -- ask your doctor -- to be sure that the answers take into account your unique personal situation. In the meantime, you may get some useful information from the following article at the Mayo Clinic web site about the possibilities of a Stress Echo examination (or another echocardiogram):
https://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/echocardiogram/about/pac-20393856 . Let me know if you need more information. Martin
Hello @emanuel_zorg,
I'd also like to introduce you to a few members who've talked about stress echo; I'm certain they will have some insights to share. Please meet @thankful @maryd @carsangelop @rmwundrow @raweber @jigglejaws94.
@emanuel_zorg, would you be able to share a few more details? For instance, what symptoms may have prompted your doctor to request a stress echo?
Thank you for the answers...I'm more in the research area... And unfortunately the echo test are flawed. And unable to detect at early stages... So I found my answer...but on the Bright side my lab is up and functioning so genetic alterations we soon begin..
Hello emanuel_zorg. I read your posts from June 15 and Oct. 2nd. I'm interested in your story and hope you can share more information. Especially regarding the research you are doing, and why you feel the echo test is flawed. Were you referring to a 2D echo or a stress echo? I have multiple cardiac symptoms and have had multiple 2D echos which are relatively normal. I"m convinced there is an issue with a valve but since the 2 and 3D echo keeps coming back fairly normal they will not proceed with a more invasive test like a trans-esophageal echo (T.E.E) or a Left Heart catheterization. I'm now having abdominal and leg edema but I am only receiving Losartan. Lasix did not work to reduce edema. Just started Aldactone today.
