Lodging in Jacksonville, FL
I have an appointment this Thursday and looking for a room for Wednesday night. The Mayo Marriott is crazy-high at $241 for AAA. Any suggestions? Thanks!!!

I also had a problem with their rates. I called to check them for Monday and was told the Mayo patient rate was $20 More than the regular rate. If you want the second closest hotel at $119 per night for their Mayo rate, try the Holiday Inn on Windsor Commons. It is about 2.5 miles away and very easy to get to.
@pscb
I stayed at the Holiday Inn on Windsor Commons. GREAT.
They have a shuttle too
I will stay there every time I go to Mayo
Are there any hotels similar to the Kahlor Grand in Rochester, Minnesota which are connected to the clinic via a subway?
Are there any hotels in Jacksonville which are connected to the Mayo Clinic via a subway system?
@jacquelynsheely Jacksonville has The Inn at Mayo Clinic. It is connected to main clinic .
I hope your visit works out well for you.

No, sorry, no subway system in Jax FL.
Almost any hotel in downtown Rochester has access to downtown Mayo Clinic buildings via subway or skyway. Here are a few specific ones:
- Marriott Residence Inn
- Kahler Inn & Suites
- Hilton
- Rochester Marriott Hotel
Here is a link to the campus map, which includes a map of the subway system, https://www.mayo.edu/pmts/mc1600-mc1699/mc1663-55.pdf?_ga=2.60956907.67298372.1546544292-1675055088.1541027282.

Have MRI on 1 Dec and consult with neurosurgeon the next morning. I have a meningioma and cavernoma. Wanting closest hotel. When I call the Marriott number it’s not the local number. Trying to speak with someone at that Marriott, not a call center. Have questions like... how close is it to the clinic? Safe to walk to at night? Shuttle if needed? Hope to get best rate? I was quoted $170 with tax by reservation service but i know sometimes you can get better rates if calling directly to hotel. Any hints? Suggestions? Just suck it up and pay it because of closeness to Mayo? :). Thank you so much!! I have AAA, AARP and am retired Army Corps of Engineers civilian. It will be me and two friends.

I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Medical Center as their Mayo rate is $107. They have a complementary shuttle to Mayo. I have stayed there for a few days at a time and then 43 consecutive days. If you end up having to stay long term there a great place to stay because you earn free nights. Praying for you to have the best outcome, Mayo is amazing! They have seriously become like family!
