It takes a while to recover from a lobectomy. The architecture of your chest wall has been disturbed and your body will need to readjust for the different amount of oxygen and carbon dioxide it exchanges. Just recovering from anesthesia is a big deal. Give yourself time to heal, don't think that you have to rush it!
Hello @marylou705
I'm so glad that you let us know about your surgery. I will be praying for your recovery.
Please post and let us know of your progress. I look forward to hearing from you again.

@hopeful33250 I once believed in prayer. I hope everyone is not like what I have known. I also pray to a God that loves.
I am far behind on everything. I know there is a God. God is NOT responsible for the negativity in this world world.
If I could I would obliterate the morning news.
Thank you. It was more of a hassle than I imagined. I am a retired Physio, so expect instant results! Not happening. But, I’m in a good rehab facility. I can be here for 20 days but am hoping for no more than a week. Have already walked and done some stairs. They keep pushing food on me and I’ve had enough! Maybe a good sign that I’m in a whining mode!
Thank you. I am retired Rehab so expect instant results!
Thank you. Will do.
@marylou705
That is great that you are walking and taking some stairs It sounds like you have determination and moxie to say the least!

@marylou705 knowledge can be a hindrance hi you now have to listen to them and your body, retired nurse
But you know better and now is a time to listen to that and not what you expect.
Thank you very helpful - while I am struggling with my own anxiety challenges - I try to support a neighbor who is a solid caregiver to her 90 year old mother who is in stage 7 of Alzheimer's- it is a horrible journey as you loose touch with your own mother but I have seen improvement based on medication Doctor support and a better understanding of the journey - when you reach 90 the journey will not be long by statistics but we should work to make the journey as good as possible and I try to support that in any way I can
