Wanted: Organ Transplant Recipients Who Have Been Hit By a Car
"Are there any transplant recipients of any organ who have been hit by a car? How did you recover? What helped you to recover from the multiple injuries?
I am posting this discussion question on behalf of one of our members,
@glinda who has recently been hit by a car and asked me to do it for her. Due to multiple injuries, she may not be able to respond right now and can read your messages.
Your support and encouragement will be appreciated as she recovers.

@glinda I too am hoping that the transition to a new facility has gone smoothly and the rehab there is progressing well. Please keep us up to date.

@glinda sorry to hear that your transfer has been held up. That must be frustrating when you are ready to move.
It sounds like you are making a little progress in standing. I’m sure each day will be better, keep it up.

@glinda
I am sorry to hear of this minor set-back. I hope that your discussion with Gretchen goes well and that she is able to sort out the problems related to your move and payment of meds.
On a positive note, congratulations on the "partial stand or squat stand." I'm sorry that it was so hard on your knee. I know how difficult knee pain is.
Continuing prayers for you for smooth sailing in the future.
I'm looking forward to hearing from you again.

I am so happy that I have this photo because this year the plants are confused and stressed. The only positive that I see is that the deer or rabbits did not eat the the tulips this year.
I am sending hopes for spring to all of you!
Rosemary
Hi @glinda
I've been wondering how you are doing with your transition to a new place. As I remember, you were going to meet with Gretchen this week and discuss medications and a new placement. I hope that is going smoothly for you.
Please post when you can. I look forward to hearing from you.
Teresa
@glinda I'm thinking of you because of the weather that is heading into your area?? Will you still be able to get to Mayo for your appointment??
Rosemary
I Rosemary sorry I haven't had much time to write back to everybody yet I spent one full day and one night at my new facility before ending up in the hospital here at Mayo in Eau Claire Wisconsin with an elevated heart rstre and low blood pressure and acute kidney damage Al though my kidney function has improved since all the fluids they have been giving me but there's still a problem with my gallbladder and my liver so I will most likely be transferred to Mayo tomorrow morning when the storm ends and the roads are cleared straight to saint Mary's Hospital right now it's a waiting game will try to keep everyone posted on how I'm doing
Thanks for caring
Glinda
